well, well, well...
Ferrari win again with the help of the FIA.
But of course there is no concerted effort to make sure Ferrari win the championship. And of course the theory that the FIA don''t want to see a black man be World Champion is totally ludicrous.
Sure!

Massa wins in Brazil, Hamilton champion.
2 agree.

rich ard... Hamilton is never going to be popular and we all know the reason why so using it as some justification as to why Massa is a more deserving champion is a little sick IMHO. The championship is decided over a whole season and who has the most points at the end is the champion and the most deserving of the title because he has been the most consistent and accrued the most points. It's a simple formula. So those making disingenuous remarks have no grounds to do so. They are showing their ignorance, in fact if Hamilton had won every race of the F1 season they would still find some concocted reason to justify their criticism of him. But the true reason is clear for all to see.

I must say I do feel for Massa I think overall he did a brilliant job this season. I was one of the doubters about Massa early on. I didn't believe he had the temperament or consistency to be close to the world title but he proved me wrong. I also like the fact that he was very dignified in defeat which is a sign of a true champion. And credit to Hamilton's father who went out of his way to with Massa and his father all the best and said that they were, "good people." He takes a lot of stick but in the end he's a proud father like we all would be if our son was in the same position. He'll get no credit for it i'm sure but it was a nice gesture.

BRILLIANT BRILLIANT BRILLIANT.... Excellent race victory by Massa and Hamilton wining the championship was excellent... youngest world champion, first black world champion. I am so, so happy today. And to put the cherry on the cake was the look on Alonso''s face on the podium... it could have turned milk sour a mile away.... Brilliant!!!

'Kill yourself Hamilton' say Spanish racists.

Donal, I agree with everything you say my friend. Alonso could have stopped much of this abuse aimed towards Hamilton by condemning the racists after the incidents at the F1 testing but his silence was deafening and still is. A man of honor would have done so but we live in an age where sportsmen have very little honor if any at all and want to win at all costs with no regard for their competitors.

rich ard... in all honesty how the hell do my comments "stoke up" racism? I was pointing out FACTS of things that have happened over a short period of time in SPAIN that IMHO indicates that there is a problem in Spanish culture where this kind of behavior seems to be acceptable. I didn't say all Spaniards are racist just like I wouldn't say 100% of the British population are NOT racist. You may not like to admit it or be one of these people who like to think the "garden is always rosey" but the incidents I stated are public record and to me indicates a larger social problem.

To broaden out this discussion a little... why do the majority of racist sporting incidents over the last few years involve the Spanish? Football national coach's remarks about Thierry Henry, the Olympic Basketball team photo and their "Chineese Eye Wink", The events at the f1 practice, the racist chanting against black members of the England football team in Madrid. You have to admit that there seems to be a problem in Spain, a cultural problem of intolerance. I'm not going to brand all Spaniards as racist but there appears to be something in the Spanish culture that creates an environment where people think opening voicing these prejudices is acceptable when it plainly isn't.

Alonso: 'I'll help Massa' in F1 title fight.

Alonso is a brilliantly talented race driver... but once again shows what low life scum he is. The mussolini-esq celebrations at the end of the race say it all for me.

Hamilton: I made a mistake and I paid for it.
2 agree.
Great drive by Alonso although I can do without the Mussolini style celebration at in parc ferme (we are well aware of your political views thanks Fernando). LH needs to calm down and as many have said learn that you can't win a race on lap 1. I hope he learns quickly and does win the title this year because he is a talent and the charisma to open the sport up to a whole new demographic. Mr Russell, typical comments once again. "If Lewis does get the championship, he won't have won it, Ferrari will have given it to him.."... what a complete load of bo11ox. I wonder why it is you are unable to give Hamilton any credit??? Sadly I don't think you need to be a rocket scientist to guess why!
