F1 » Kate Walker: An unhealthy lack of debate

Taz you are right, the F1 and FIA decisions are mostly driven by money and how much they can make. Even new talents have to buy their way in or get shut out. They have this illusion that they know what the fans want and by God they will get their way and shove it down our throats whether we like it or not. If they can address every issue like the do with safety issues, where they leave no stone unturned, where each decision is carefully studied and the end results are simply the right ones, then the F1will survive, otherwise this sport will continue on its tailspin spiral down to only the diehard fans.

F1 » Hamilton ‘absolutely perfect in his head’

janhein:
kiwibob: EDIT by CRASH.NET! Please stop attacking others.
this entire thread consists of attacks on hamilton is this stupid, small minded and childish hamilton bashing really worth protecting crash? why if i may ask?
all drivers get negative comments addressed towards them, some more than others, it all depends on how they expose themselves. No poster has a right to attack another poster, those are simply the rules.

F1 » HAVE YOUR SAY: Standing start restarts in F1?

Taipan: Richard, Just because the teams vote for it doesn't mean they're voting for the good of the sport, they vote for what might work for them and the vast majority of teams (ie those that don't expect to be leading) probably see this as an opportunity to make up a place or two. I have a problem with changing the rules just to make things more "interesting" if a driver and team lead from lights to flag they deserve their win, that's how F1 has always been, no need to create fake situations to spice it up. I honestly feel they are dumbing down F1 to suit the casual observer.
Well said Taipan.

rob01: F1 Nascar is what you have now. By 16 you will buy most parts off the shelf and there will be a common front and rear wing.
bah humbug, I think the F1 is moving towards drivers racing in simulators, they will all be connected together, fans will watch the race on super huge screens. There will be 2 extra simulators where 2 lucky fans will each win a seat to compete against the pros. If they win they will stand on the podium and accept their trophy and drink champagne or sweet fruity drinks depending on the venue. No more helicopter fly overs, no more cameras, no more silly pit stops, no more silly flags, no more worrying about someone getting hurt, no more PU, and wasting money on stuff. Simulators will all be equal, it all depends on drivers ability to bring her home.

Remember to fit a coin operation to the simulators for the pay-drivers :p Chiltons bag of 14 million pound coins will be pretty heavy. Still he'll save a few quid since he does three less laps.
ROTFLMAO Taz. (have to save this)
