F1 » Kate Walker: An unhealthy lack of debate

Taz you are right, the F1 and FIA decisions are mostly driven by money and how much they can make. Even new talents have to buy their way in or get shut out. They have this illusion that they know what the fans want and by God they will get their way and shove it down our throats whether we like it or not. If they can address every issue like the do with safety issues, where they leave no stone unturned, where each decision is carefully studied and the end results are simply the right ones, then the F1will survive, otherwise this sport will continue on its tailspin spiral down to only the diehard fans.

F1 » Hamilton ‘absolutely perfect in his head’

janhein:
kiwibob: EDIT by CRASH.NET! Please stop attacking others.
this entire thread consists of attacks on hamilton is this stupid, small minded and childish hamilton bashing really worth protecting crash? why if i may ask?
all drivers get negative comments addressed towards them, some more than others, it all depends on how they expose themselves. No poster has a right to attack another poster, those are simply the rules.

F1 » HAVE YOUR SAY: Standing start restarts in F1?

Taipan: Richard, Just because the teams vote for it doesn't mean they're voting for the good of the sport, they vote for what might work for them and the vast majority of teams (ie those that don't expect to be leading) probably see this as an opportunity to make up a place or two. I have a problem with changing the rules just to make things more "interesting" if a driver and team lead from lights to flag they deserve their win, that's how F1 has always been, no need to create fake situations to spice it up. I honestly feel they are dumbing down F1 to suit the casual observer.
Well said Taipan.

F1 » Standing start restarts confirmed for 2015

F1 Commissioner's son. "Hey dad, I missed the start can we get them all back to start the race again" F1 Commissioner. "Hmmmmm, you might have something there son, I'll look into how we can get them to restart the race several times each race, wouldn't that be exciting son?" F1 Commissioner (in super secret meeting). "Hey guys, I have this great idea from my son, see how you like it. bla, bla, bla," Rest of F1 Commissioners. "Wow great idea, a standing start when the safety car is deployed, that should get the fans all excited and buy more tickets, we'll probably have to add more bleachers to get in more crowds, super idea. So we all agree, it's now a rule."

F1 » Standing start restarts confirmed for 2015

Taipan: George, Don't give them ideas they may be reading this. Ah sod it I may as well join in, They could run a lottery at the start to decide who gets what car, then another lottery to decide what qualifying position they start in. Then Simon Cowell could run a phone vote and the driver with the least votes gets sent home and just to finish the show off about if a white car hits a black car into a pocket (read gravel trap) they get 7 points like in snooker.
Tai, I totally will go for that, beats a crummy standing start. Perez can paint his car Black, then him and Massa can have a first go to show everyone how it's done.
