RECOMMENDED COMMENT
39 agree.
5 disagree.
Wait till RBR get the double diffusser sorted and you'll see them winning and blowing away the Brawns. Button knows his fairytail can't continue and he'll have Wiley Rubens and the Red Bull abliteraters hammering him within 5 or 6 rounds. Then theres the Hamilton's, Kimmi's, Massa's, Trulli's Etc putting their two bobs worth here and there. Also about KERS it's still early days and to be honest it does put a bit of twist and intregue into the racing. GOOD STUFF I RECKON! If it was all perfect the the racing becomes to clinical 'optional rules for new technology is a good thing' forcing them not so(FIA ???). '09 season has a good balance so far.

Australian GP loses support of local council.
Australia want's it but Melbourne doesn't so send it back to Adelaide or even a revamped Eastern Creek track in Sydney sounds good. At least they are used to the noise week in week out and there will be no disruption to peoples day to day existance on a purpose built world class open wheel race track. We might even get some real overtaking on that track instead of the fasical race that we had in Melbourne this year. I think Melb' is past it's used by date anyway. The only thing that will be missing will be the 200,000+ crowd they get but that doesn't seem to matter anymore considering the dismal crowds at the new tracks recently. It's all about TV and Money now not the fans. Thanks to BE!

Talk of F1 drivers' strike only ever 'rumours'.
It''s not really an issue for the higher paid drivers as they are making mega Euro''s but for the lesser paid drivers the teams might have to subsidise the fee. A super license requires a super fee and they have had it easy till now.

Raikkonen to need new engine for British GP?
2 agree.
3 disagree.
A bit of F1 poker required by Ferrari it seems. The rule adjustment is good and will be benificial for the Scarlet army for Silverstone. It may well be that the old motor will be OK but by the way Kimmi is talking he must have driven the rings off the thing in the last half of the race. If so it would be wise to take advantage of the rule as I''m sure Lewis will be determined to give it to him at his home GP and he will need his car to be as strong as possible.

BMW: Heidfeld not one of top five in F1.
Bye Bye Nick! Bye Bye David! and goodnight Rubens. It's been a pleasure watching you forever. Mario forgot Nick in his top five! unforgiveable, I suppose Nick is a forgetable driver. he's such a good loyal doggy. Top five what a joke! Each track and curcumstance is different. EG: Massa no1 at Turkey but not the number one driver anywhere else. Any mathameticians out there? give us a formula that includes race reasults, qualifying, fastest laps, crashes, mechanical failures, cars relative performance to the competition cars, etc! Then It would be interesting to see the names of the best drivers. Otherwise it's just personal opinion and not factual.

French GP to stay at Magny-Cours in '09?
1 agrees.
I think Bernie has lost his clout! All the recent bullying was just bark and no bite. That's the second track now that has been re-enstated in the last fortnight after being strongly threatend with extinction. It's all getting to hard for the old dwarf. It's nearly all there now at Magny-Cours so to persist with and improve it is good. The '08 race was entertaining except for the Ferrari's dominance and I think JANOV's idea's for the track are good ones. Keeping this track and Albert Park is good for the fans and F1. The stands are always full at these tracks. New tracks and new locations will always be a gamble long term.

Piquet beats Alonso to take first F1 points.
1 agrees.
This race was a good one for the young guys on the grid. Both Neshino and Heikki had to prove themselves and certainly did in France. Some of the more experienced guys on the other hand had shockers. I think Piquet's job is safe for now. Well done!

Kovalainen praised for 'fight of the race'.
Brilliant performance! He only really lost one position in the end when you think about the 5 grid penalty. He might have got past Kimmi''s broken Ferrari without it and possibly a 2nd pos but another two laps he would have certainly got Trulli and been on the podium. No one was gonna get the Ferrari''s this race though. He seemed to pass Webber with ease and that''s not easy considering Lewis couldn''t get past him in Malaysia recently. It''s probably to late this season but he''s got the goods to win a WDC with McLaren one day.

Webber: Three points not to be sniffed at.
1 agrees.
Another solid Finish and releif the spin had no consequense on the final reasult. Well done! Three points in this game is good now Red Bull need to get to the next level as Toyota seems to have done to keep their forth in the WC. Otherwise Toyota are looking good for that spot with their improved performance.

No second chance for Heidfeld.
ROB S.... You are full of it. Nothing at all mentioned about BMW's '09 driver line up. Please advise your source as RPM has just reiterated that BMW are in no rush for '09. Mario is not stupid and if BMW does well this season and god fobid they win the WC he will have a better chance of attracting the best drivers in the off season. They can certainly do better than Nick.

French GP - Starting line-up [updated].
1 agrees.
Is their still thunderstorms predicted? If so anything may happen regardless if its all red on the front row. If not they will be driving off into the sunset leaving the rest behind. The race for the final podium position will be interesting though. Maybe a reno powered car again.
