Spinach: Am I missing something?
Yes, the understanding of the different classes in GP racing.
No, I get that, but from what I recall, he wasn't heads and shoulders above anyone else in that "class", was he? He had a great weekend, but many riders have great weekends here and there. Seems to me as though he and Nicky are pretty much equals on this pig, and we all know how "non-impressive" Nicky is, so why is Scott so much "better"? That is what I am missing.
Nicky is a former world champ who's ridden many different bikes in his long motogp career. Scott is a rookie. Simple.

MotoGP » Moto2: Dakota Mamola replaces Terol at Silverstone

Why would I have forgotten about that? Team bosses could clearly see the rider that Aleix would become and he also probably had great sponsors backing him. This is a different matter altogether. Dakota isn't even showing enough promise to ride in the moto2 championship, as is. But thanks to his dad and his dads mate's he's got this shot. I would love to see him do well though, the Americans need a shot in the arm at the moment.
