Zeitung - I see your not letting the truth get in the way of your theory!

Glock was on slicks FACT
Trulli was on slicks FACT
Hamilton on intermediates FACT
it was raining FACT
in the first sector alone (a short sector) Vettel and Hamilton were 5 secs faster than Glock FACT
They took even more time in the middle sector (twice as long in time in the dry and more twisty) FACT
Hamilton passed him into last real turn on the circuit FACT
from that point onwards Glock lost the best part of a further 6 seconds FACT
you can see him with no grip out of the corner on tv FACT
Glocks lap time was actually faster than that of Trullis in same car on same tyres FACT!

now go paint by numbers or something!

At the end of the day that white line is only there for the viewers to see who is running what tyre anyway! get a grip guys. Its not big news, as has been said already no riders will have looked across on the grid and changed anything just because he didnt have a white line on his tyre! Maybe if Dovi rubbed the line off his tyre it would have lasted longer?!... i dont think so! they just got beat by the best rider on the day, deal with it.

ah yes... who says it is the soft tyre that he used? ok bridgestone have supplied the info but it is more than possible that Rossi did actually use the hard tyre. I also notice from the picture that he is wearing double knee sliders... is this going to require some accusations as well? If this was an error and he was running the soft tyre without a marking, which is only for the viewers anyway, he can run a hard tyre at donnington with a white band on it? that would make everything even again :) still, a good race, its great to see close finishes! im sure it wont be long before Lorenzo has learned enough to start winning by 0.09 instead of losing by it! and also Stoner will improve...

I am a Hamilton fan and think he is very talented as a driver but he does talk some 5h1t! Having a season like he is it would be better to get his head down and crack on with the job he is there to do.

It is a well guarded secret that Lorenzo gets extra tyres from bridgestone and his fuel tank is larger than everyone elses. This is because he runs on a diet of bridgestone tyres and high octane fuel. In his mind Yamalube is not an oil it is a supplement! That is his key to success.

Fair point Derek. I think you kind of summed it up in your reply to Kenlucky Kid... if he had pulled it off he would have been a hero and we should appreciate his talent and will to win. He is not cocky he just has a lot of self confidence... all the guys do... if they dont believe they are better than every other guy on the grid they never will be. To be honest you probably need that attitude more so than ever if your team mate is Rossi!

As a Rossi fan and a race fan I would be disappointed to see Stoner unable to fight due to illness. To me, and I am no doctor but do a lot of phyiscal training and have seen many people looking a similar way, everytime he gets off the bike after the race he just looks totally fatigued, nothing left. Not so much ill but just totally out of fuel! I noticed at laguna he had a camelbak in his leathers, i dont think he had this at catalunya or assen so maybe getting a litlte bit of fluid on board helped as he lasted longer before fading at Laguna. Either way, hope he is sorted soon and credit to him for hanging in for what he can get each race collecting good points in tough conditions.

I know its only a 5th but its showign that progress is being made. Im pleased for Nicky. I think another important thing to note is not so much that it was a 5th place but how much closer he is getting to Stoner which I would say is a more important benchmark than overall position. Admitedly Stoner isn't well but he hasn't been well at the last 3 races and we have seen some good pregress from Nicky. Whether you like Nicky or not as a race fan it would be good to see another Ducati at the front. Then when the honda boys can both stay on the bike we will start to get some really great racing!

Derek, i agree partly. If he had waited a little longer then he would have most likely got 2nd place, he wouldnt have had time to catch Dani. I think he made a risky but correct decision to have a go as Rossi wouldnt have been expecting it, Dani was 3 seconds up the road so Rossi would most likely have battled it out for 2nd instead of hoping Lorenzo drags him up to the front. This would have slowed Lorenzo down and meant he couldnt catch Dani. By trying it when he did, whilst he was on a roll in a good rhythm was probably the right thing to do at the time. If he had made it stick he would be getting a lot of praise but he didnt. At least he had the cojones to step up and have a go.

Can't believe someone just asked for team orders! thats F1 and WTCC stuff, these boys can ride and think for themselves. They know when to be smart and when to race. The guys are very close at the top of the champs less than halfway through the season! I think Jorge was close enough to make a move, and with 5 to go he needed a make or break move to pass Vale if he had any hope of catching Pedrosa. He was a similar distance back from Stoner and passed him ok there. It was probably Lorenzo's strongest point on the circuit. Fair play to him to him for having a crack at it. With regard to riders riding injured lets not forget Melandri! and the fact that Clinica Mobile do a great job!
