Zeitung - I see your not letting the truth get in the way of your theory!

Glock was on slicks FACT
Trulli was on slicks FACT
Hamilton on intermediates FACT
it was raining FACT
in the first sector alone (a short sector) Vettel and Hamilton were 5 secs faster than Glock FACT
They took even more time in the middle sector (twice as long in time in the dry and more twisty) FACT
Hamilton passed him into last real turn on the circuit FACT
from that point onwards Glock lost the best part of a further 6 seconds FACT
you can see him with no grip out of the corner on tv FACT
Glocks lap time was actually faster than that of Trullis in same car on same tyres FACT!

now go paint by numbers or something!

Hell a ducati ahead of stoner!!! when was the last time that happened?! credit to Mika, obviously getting there with the bike but I dont believe he could hang with Stoner in a race yet.

Credit to Casey for hanging on to 3rd... he looked very ill at the end. Out of interest, I didnt see the camelbak for Casey does he carry one? being able to take on maybe 1 litre of water during the race would really help in a situation like that...

As has already been said, its the usual suspects at the front... surprised to see Casey in 3rd though as he is usually the one stickign in the fast laps in practice! I think he had a fall during the session so dont know if he lost quite a lot of time repairing the bike or dialling his 2nd bike in. Either way, im sure they will all be on very similar pace come race day!

Bikers tend to transfer well over to cars, bikers (especially someone of Troy's ability) seem to have a far better feeling for grip and the limits of a vehicle as well as amazing control. Probably picked up through a rider being more of a vital part of the package than a driver in a car.

I think it was a very unfortunate accident, i dont know how it happened but to those who say it is imposible for his brakes to work, fail and work again are wrong. The chances of it happening on a siting lap are slim as they arent at race pace but when the bikes pick up the front wheel (as they very often do!) it can cause the bike to shake when the wheel makes contact with the track again, this often happens and is recitified by a steering damper. The side effects of it happening are that the shaking of the front wheel can push the pads back and therefore the brake travel is totally different at the next corner! i am not saying it is the reason but it is possible...

Nick - Not necessarily disagreeing with you but Capirossi came up through 125/250 and took race wins on the 990 ducati but not on the 800. Melandri didnt do much at all on the 800 and he came via 125/250. Hayden has a superbike background and he is also struggling? so what is the rule exactly that melandris lack of results on that bike prove? I would like to see Bayliss do a race simulation run on the bike. I think its down to stoners confidence in the bike, the fact he isnt so much of a thinker and rides at 110% regardless (not a bad thing, i enjoy watching it!), and the bike suits him. Think of Foggy and Ducati, ok he did well else where but never the success he had on the duke!
