MotoGP » Stoner apologises for Qatar crash

Illiterate - Stoner had just set the fastest lap of the race, and according to timing ad just set the fastest sector 1 time when he crashed. Not the sign of someone backing off I would suggest. Also, I don't recall Casey saying he was backing off? He said he changed his riding style as he had already had a couple of warnings from his front tyre. I think the idea of him backing off is an excuse some of his fans/armchair experts have come up with and Casey has just been quite honest about what happened. Fair play, being able to adapt to the bike/car is important if you want to stay at the front, he tried and made a mistake. Isn't the first and won't be the last guy to do it.

MotoGP » Stoner raring to go for 2010 opener

grano - I'm with you mate. Huge Vale fan but won't knock Casey on his riding at all! As I have said in a previous post, I do want Rossi to win every race but would much prefer him to win by 0.1 seconds than 10 seconds (and if he doesn't win then as a racing fan I want to see him beaten in a proper race). Looking forward to round 1! I also think the bike has plenty enough power for Casey to still powerslide it every so often and i can't see Stoner changing his riding style anytime soon seeing as it took him to a motogp championship and a few wins on the way!

MotoGP » Rossi misses out on World Sportsman award

What is a sport and what isn' a sport is a tough subject. By your reckoning that judging means it is not a sport then Freestyle motor-x is out as a sport, but definitely fits the skill and physical exersion categories. My personal view on it is sport should be physically demanding, therefore I dont count Snooker, Pool, Bowling, Bowls, Darts, Fishing, Golf etc as sports due to them being physically very easy, although they do take skill to compete in. Cricket, although sh!t, is borderline as there is a very small physical element. As mentioned, that is personal opinion. With regards to the award, Bolt is deserving of it. How many people did he get to watch athletics who normally wouldnt have?

MotoGP » Brivio: Rossi never stops surprising me

Lets hope he wins plenty of races! would be great to see Rossi catch Ago on the wins count before he retires. I would much rather see him winning races by a 10th of a second as opposed to a 10 seconds, so lets hope Lorenzo is fit and Stoner can last the season. If the Ducati is easier to ride, like has been alluded to a couple of times, may help Stoner to stay healthy if he isn't hanging out of his ar$e riding it!
