F1 » Ricciardo wins after Mercedes pair clash

Hamilton is finally learning that other drivers are not going to give him deference. Many times during his career I saw other driver ceding position to Hamilton. Now that Hamilton has consistently demonstrated he will not return in kind, he's going to find things rather rough going. What goes around comes around. I will say that Hamilton is certainly a fast driver, but I've never seen him as a complete F1 driver. His comments to the media have shown him to be somewhat narcissistic. He has a chance to show his better character the rest of the season. Today, by repeatedly asking to quit, he has shown he doesn't have the right stuff.

F1 » Ricciardo wins after Mercedes pair clash

dazza0501: Nico is proving what a tough guy he is! The pressure is on lewis! He has to win the title based on the pedestal he is put on! Rosberg is giving a challenge he probably didn't expect! Behind the scenes mercedes isn't a happy team even before today! After Hungary nico feels the team let him down! They told him lewis would let him pass! Different strategies! Lewis ignored the team. The team has caused their own problems!
The pedestal you refer to Lewis being on is only the one in Lewis's own mind. Years ago, Lewis compared himself favorably to Senna. I never saw Senna quit a race, let alone ask to quit one.

F1 » Hamilton cost Rosberg win chance – Wolff

George Zaidan:

Any F1 driver could win in the Mercedes. And if anyone thinks Mercedes is just going to shrivel up in 2015 they just don't know the rules.
I'd amend that to: 'any driver who can finish a race'. I'd bet money that Pastor Moldonado couldn't win a WDC with a Mercedes. I think if the points were tied for the championship at the last race and only cars running were Pastor and the one tied, somehow Pastor would find a way to dnf.

F1 » Hamilton: Usual rules didn’t apply

kma55: These orders to let teammates through only make sense when the constructors championship is at stake, or one driver is not in contention for the drivers championship. Neither of these things are true in this situation, Mercedes are so far ahead of everyone else there really shouldn't be any orders given.
Most astute comment yet that I've read about the move over order.

F1 » Hamilton cost Rosberg win chance – Wolff

Mark: I am more interested in the final lap. Nico needs to hold his line and stop letting Lewis push him off of the track. Nico is leading so a double dnf is better than losing points to Lewis. Toughen up in these wheel to wheel battles.
Not so certain about the double dnf proposition. If I were Mercedes, I'd keep an eye on Ricciardo's Red Bull. Especially with the specter of double points looming in Abu Dhabi.
