F1 » RBR mystified by fuel check failure


How much of an advantage, if any, could 150ml less fuel give you? I think, if my math is correct, that's about 110 grams in weight or less than 4 ounces. I doubt Red Bull would risk a penalty to save 4 ounces. I go along with the fuel transfer malfunction theory. Or there was a legitimate screwup when the team fueled the car prior to qualifying.

F1 » FIA reveals dramatic entry fee rise


There is something afoot that we can not see, yet. There is no way this entry fee pay scheme makes any sense, so I suspect there is an ulterior motive. It's like the FIA wants to see the teams form their own series of racing. I would not be surprised to see FOTA break away from FIA, with Bernie and possibly Todt somehow profiting from the maneuver. F1, the FIA and Bernie are way too devious for any of this fee scheme to be as straightforward as it seems. If there is an odor of skunk you can bet there is a skunk somewhere nearby.

Probably close to being true, but a rather odd thing to go public with. Lewis seems to have a propensity for going public with statements better left unsaid. F1 is a tough nut to crack. Manufactures Jaguar, BMW, Honda, Toyota, Alfa Romeo and Porsche all tried, to little avail. In retrospect, I think Mercedes could have accomplished much more by applying those same resources to, say Williams.

Over the years I've noticed a serious lack of objectivity from those who comment when it comes to rating drivers. I suspect the age of a large portion of those who comment is less than twenty. I see a lack of maturity from some of the Crashnet com-mentors. I am glad to see Kimi back in F1. If he gets his hands on a decent car he may well win a championship, once again.
