I don't think Colin is the brightest bulb in the room. His comment about him being a right-wing extremist pretty well rips it for me. Just what the world needs more of, an extremist with a .50 caliber.

I make no prediction, but I am anxiously awaiting my home GP. I hope Nicky and Colin do well.

What's the problem with giving Spies some credit? We just might be watching the GOAT. Time will tell.

I am a fan of Nicky, but he's definitely not up to handling the Ducati. I fear for his well being every time he takes to the track. I met him several years ago at Daytona where I was part of an AMA 250 team. He was/is a pretty nice guy. Personally, I'd like to see him get off the Duc and get back to racing something he would more enjoy. AMA dirt track is probably his first love. He no longer has anything to prove. He's in the record books as a three time champion, AMA Supersport, AMA Superbike and Moto GP. He's got more money than he ever dreamed of having. It's time, Nicky.

quote "The world public will never support the manufacturer teams spending tax payers money from bail outs, just so they can compete with the current winners who are already on a sensible budget." So just what is the budget of the winners? If you are referring to Honda/Brawn, that car was built with the Honda budget which was one of the largest in F1. As for Red Bull, they spend considerably more than forty million. Is this what you refer to as a sensible budget? Don't make ME laugh!

No more Max! No more Bernie! One can only hope. The tail has been wagging the dog far too long. The real issue has been about how much revenue the F1 teams were to receive from Bernie and Max. With a cap, Bernie would then cut the amount the teams received. Since they then would have a $40 million budget rather than $400 million. More for Bernie, more for Max. I'm certain this has crossed the minds of the team owners. The big budgets are more of a problem for Max and Bernie than the teams. If I were Frank and/or Vijay, I'd get on my knees, with a different participant this time. As for the proposed new teams. Pure pipe dreams for the most part.

Looking forward to a great race. WSBK and MotoGP rules. As for a car race tomorrow somewhere in England, who cares?

I, for one, am glad to see the FIA sue FOTA. If that what it takes to get a new (FOTA) premier series. All things considered, then Max and Bernie are in for a shellacking. Long overdue, I say. This cap thing was never about saving F1. Max and Bernie thought if team expenditures were reduced they then could reduce payouts to the teams. More money for Max and Bernie. Unmitigated greed will get you in the end. Those two have been poster boys for unmitigated greed.

Does anyone else think this new entrant news a bit fishy? Here we are mired in the worst economic times since the "Great Depression", yet everyone is scurrying to enter the foray of F1 racing. Even at 40 million per annum, this seems hardly plausible. My guess would be it's a guise to get the current F1 teams to agree to Max's budget cap. The budget cap is designed to forestall F1 participants from demanding more of the proceeds from F1, i.e., Bernie and Max.
