F1 » Ricciardo surprised by results against Vettel

throttlemeister: I am not. I have always thought that Vettel is overrated and his 4 WC is primarily the result is great luck and an incredible car build by Red Bull/Newey. Just look at Webber, who was a good driver, but not exceptional by F1 standards and if the gremlins stayed out of his car, he was often as quick or quicker than Vettel (before team orders interfered).
Poles by Vettel- 45 (third all-time polesetter) Poles by Webber-16 I don't think there were team orders for qualifying.

F1 » Wolff calls for ‘transparency’ at Mercedes

Fullofit: A few races ago I suggested Mercedes ask themselves which of their two drivers they would rather have as the World Drivers Champion Brand Ambassador for the company. Perhaps they have made their choice? Clever Germans ...
"When asked if that would become a harder task as the season goes on, Wolff admitted the championship battle would need managing." That's a pretty telling statement, wouldn't you say so?

F1 » Haas wants Patrick in F1 team

Wasn't too long ago Gene Haas was looking forward to being released from prison. He was released in 2009 after serving 16 months for income tax evasion. I really don't think Gene Haas is a good representative for a U.S. F1 team. We have many rich people who know how to avoid paying taxes without getting caught. If you can't cheat the tax man without getting caught how the hell are you going to run a successful F1 team?
