RawDawg......I see your posts as well thought out, generally unbiased, and constructive. It mystifies me why you generate so many idiotic responses.
Same way Morgue does I suppose.
Keep it up mate, s0d em.

Rossi: I’ll ride for the championship.
5 agree.
George has got a huge problem if he goes into this race thinking of winning the Championship. He has to win, nothing else will do. If he rides it 'win it or bin it' he could just hand Casey 2nd place in the Title. Valentino will ride around humming old Bing Crosby numbers. Casey has only Dani to worry about. Might be a procession.

Stoner looking for a fight.
3 agree.

Marc, if Casey's illness was/is physical then in the heat & humidity they face he might not be at the finish. If it was/is a mental thing ie. hitting 'the wall' then that won't come in until he finds himself in 4th position after 10 laps. Personally,I hope the guy is 100% fit and fighting for the win.

Lorenzo: It’s all about second now.
1 agrees.
Rossi will have Lorenzo in mind, he has to, he needs to clinch his Title. My guess is that Rossi will be out to beat Stoner. Georges' first job is to stay on. If he does that we could be in for a good race.

Rossi prepares for MotoGP 'match point' at Sepang

Bob, not sure I follow the point you are making, but 2 thoughts come to mind. Casey's tally of 19 GP wins puts him 2nd to Doohan's 54. So he is not yet a 'great' in Ausland, let alone the world. Colin may not be a success in some peoples' mind, but he seems to be a difficult man to beat. Ask Toseland, Dovi, and all the others that regularly finish behind him.

Stoner: Sepang has become a little... boring!
Spot on Duke, also, good discussion going on but none of this takes anything away from Casey's undoubted talent.

Top speed is not that critical, after all if you arrive at the next corner faster then you have to brake earlier. (laws of physics) What the 800cc Ducati has, and always has had, is superior acceleration. Especially in Casey's title winning year, he was passing the other bikes before half way down the straight.

Thinking of Rossi, Lorenzo, and Stoner, in any race in the world it would be foolish to bet against any of them not finishing on the podium. Even with health problems, or tyre problems they do no worse than 4th. I am starting to think that it is not because they are so much better than the rest, it's because the rest are so much worse. Maybe when Simmo and Ben get there we will find out.

Rossi loses 'great' battle, set to finish title fight.
1 agrees.
Right on Moje, also there were still question marks over Casey's level of fitness over full race distance. Rossi may have been gifted it in the later laps. As it happened Stoner was hardly out of breath at the end. Good to have him back I say.
