MotoGP » Michelin rear ‘like a qualifying tyre’

SoSlo: no, nobody wanted Stones... Casey only took them on because Ducati said they could not beat VR on the same tires and their strategy worked (for one year) After VR switched, DP switched mid season and JL switched next season. Tamada was never anybody's marker for anything so bringing him up adds nothing. Again, NOBODY thot you could win on Stones... Casey and Ducati took a gamble and won. If racers thot they could win on stones before 07, then why were VR, DP, and JL (the aliens) on Michelins?
Bridgestone did their homework and created something special. If you recall they even had some of their tires stolen at one point

MotoGP » Marquez unbeaten at Sachsenring since 2009

Pakundo: I worry for Marquez. Whenever there's contact between 2 riders it always involves Marquez. In Moto 2 i remember him wiping out Pol at Catalunya. He injured himself and Smith in Moto2. Last year he wiped out Pedrosa at Aaragon. This year he wiped out Bautista in Qatar, made contact with Rossi twice in Argentina, nearly wiped out Lorenzo at Catalunya and then nearly wiping out Rossi in Assen. No one else has done this on such regular occasions. I just worry for the kid.
That's a heck of a resume. He needs to realize that these are bigger, more dangerous bikes and you can pay dearly for a tiny bit of recklessness. You don't have to be on somebody's wheel on lap 5 of 28. Anyway, I hope Pedrosa takes the checkered flag this weekend. He's usually pretty good at The Ring when he manages to keep it upright.
