This is what Albesiano has to say about entering Motogp: "It is a strategic decision to promote the Aprilia brand worldwide. The SBK promotes the product. In my opinion the SBK has been very important to communicate Aprilia in a certain way, now the decision is to raise the bar. " If S1 had predicted that he would be fistpumping and puting a natcork in by now.

So why didn't they produce a Moto3 bike? Or produce a 600 engine and bid for the Moto2 contract? Could have even built a Moto2 chassis. Why did they pull out of Motogp? The same reason as Kawasaki and Petronas the bike was too slow so just stick in WSB, Flamini's not policing anyway. Didn't see them complaining when they held the monopoly in 125 or 250 deciding who gets what!
not against the "all singing all dancing" 213 they ain't.
Is it Honda's fault they can't? Every company sets out to be the best in the world at the moment Honda are succeeding in engineering terms, and its not all singing and dancing any more.

S1 or Sham not sure: A: when's the last time anybody's seen an RSW250 or 125 in competition...?
Last week at BSB. whats that got to do with it?
S1 or Sham not sure: and when's the last time anybody's been in a rush to get to grandprix and have their throats ripped out by Honda...?
Mahindra and KTM seem to cope, Piaggio are a lot bigger company than both of those, KTM are tiny in comparrison.

Only Ducati of the above had factory teams. HRC have never really been involved in WSB always Honda Europe, as you said with Yamaha. But its the viewing figures and marketing ability I am talking about more, it just never made it, you could fit Brands in 1 corner of Silverstone and have you seen that with 120k in it? I have been at Brands with 60k in it twice and like you say it take hours to get out. Flamini lost some TV deals by putting it free on the WSB website, then signed a crazy 5 year deal exclusive to Eurosport in certain countries. Avintia have just announced Ducati's for 2015 and rumours Barbera will be on an open one the same as Hernandez next week. And the Technomag and Epp Swiss teams will join forces on Kalex's, another snub for Suter.

It always did have tiny crowds and non live poor television coverage everywhere except Britain and Italy, slightly Aus. The crowds were never as high as they stated in Britain, FGS used to quote 3 day estimates, have you seen Brands with 60k in? never mind 120k. I was at the first round at Donnington spannering for a sidecar team, the weekend was combined with the transatlantic trophy, and apart from Ducati and Bimota, they were all production bikes, a certain future world champion was in the paddock next to us in the paddock and his RC30 came in with its lights on 2 days before the race.

Sham Dorna produce some great coverage, and great sport camera's, by employing their own camera teams instead of hiring subcontractors their cameramen are racing specialists. They are currently experimenting with 4k camera's and transmissions, the first to do so. As well as gyrocam and remote controlled gyrocam. As for Kawasaki, their sales are down again this year with the number of bikes sold only 50% of their nearest Japanese rival, whilst Yamaha are top with Suzuki 2nd (suprising). BMW & KTM outsold them, but not suprising is that Harleys outsold them all. So you will only actually see Kawasaki's filling 6% of the carpark and a clear sign that WSB is not working.

amakusa: RSMick if u open up Aprilia's RS250 u will find about the exact same engine as RGV250. And about the same time Suzuki's SRAD (ram air system) was so successful, aprilia dominated the 250cc class with its efficient airflow design.
No if you take the fairings off a RS250, you will find an actual RGV250 engine with different barrels, I have one. If you take the fairings off a RS125 you will find a Rotax 125 OEM engine, have one of those. If you take the fairing off a RSV twin, you will find a Rotax OEM engine, the RSV4 is the first production engine Aprilia have produced in house. The early racing RS125's used Rotax disc valve engines before changing to reed valve then their own plant, the RSW and RSA 250 retained using disc valve engines thats what gave them the edge, and domination but with harder powerband. They may have developed an airbox togther I dont know, but they just bought engines for the RS, bit like Ssassong buy OEM Mercedes.
