MotoGP » Flashback: Suzuka 1994 - Abe’s astonishing debut

Mackenzie mixing it up front there in the pic of the start on the WCM and Muckspreader just to the side on the Miller, didn't last long though, Mackenzie jumped the start by a huge margin as did others. The first GP of the last Japan 500 champion. The race is available on Motogp classics and it was. Another good race that highlights the huge difference between the factory and privateers in those days that many do not believe existed.

WSBK » Baz plays down Kawasaki team orders call

Lodge: By the way, I believe the Green Team were prepared to explain their pit board for Baz to: 'Lose 1 Place' as- because Loris had 'exceeded the track limits'. As opposed to 'giving team orders'. If there were accusations of bullying, or favouritism. Anyway.
So did Sykes on 3 occasions, I would have been extremely pissed off if I was Rea, he caught right up to Sykes who then cut the chicane and gained about a 2 second advantage over Rea again.

WSBK » Corser eyeing top five for new BMW team

Some people on here who never change the record should look at the state of the championship on October the 3rd 2012! Just how many factory teams were involved with one announced withdrawal. The financial state of the championship and the teams taking part. The amount of live TV coverage available around the world following the silliest 5 year deal, and appalling coverage and camerawork. The connection between Buddha, Superstars and conflict of interest. The 3rd failed so called 'Partnership', how long would have Phillipe Blatter have financed if he didn't put Infront Sports & Media up for sale? How many actual bikes on the grid when there were 36 slots available. The truth about attendance at most rounds but particular the 2 British where WSB has relied heavily upon. The actual race time difference between factory and privateer. Sponsorship within the championship. Lets hope this attempt actually has some finance and some weight behind it.

MotoGP » Remembering Norick Abe

Ah the Blue Fox kid who frightened Doohan, then he lasted about 5 minutes on his Yamaha Debut at Donington after Rainey poached him from under Honda's nose (and before anyone says I know he rode for Roberts but his contract was with Rainey). His first win at Suzuka was pure emotion, the bollard Foggy used to slag him as only a Suzuka rider but he visited the podium 17 times, and his last lap dive under Biaggi at Rio was a joy. Sadly the 4t era didn't work for him. Will always be remembered for his upright with leg out style and his locks blowing behind the helmet. Very much missed.

MotoGP » Moto3: Carrasco out at RW, signs for team Espargaro?

Yearby23: fair enough she didn't fair well against Vinales during last year in the same team but I think she deserves a crack at it on good machinery. Thing is her main challenge will be Maria Herrera if she gets a ride in Moto3 next year, shes won a couple of races against Quantararo and Navarro and they're no slouches.
Totally different bikes though, she had an over the counter bike whilst Vinales had a factory chassis and engine. This year they all get the same engine as they are randomly distributed by Irta on request. However there are still different levels of KTM chassis and she is on last years Kalex, which they will not build any more just support existing ones. Herrera will be in the Estrella team with Quartararo and Navarro next year but she won't have her as her target, the entire field as was last year and she did ok.
