@ popcorn Your examples of why we should ignore parity are both team games so are pointless. If you read the motorcycle press when testing the any new superbike over its predecessor they all wax lyrical about how a 5KG weight saving massively improves the handling. You can imagine then how much harder it is for Scott to wrestle his weight combination compared to MM even taking into consideration his strength.

@WylieCoyote: Rubbish! They might be "Aliens" in your opinion but they have for the most part a competitive advantage, Casey being the exception to the rule as he made a good job on the Ducati where everybody else has failed. Unless you have a level playing field you can never state with any certainty that Lorenzo would be any quicker than say Cal or Dovi. You can only say for sure that Lorenzo is better than Spies as they are like machinery.

Earlier this season Pedrosa stated it would be nice for more people to compete, it would, but its only going to happen when everybody has the same engine etc as per Moto2. Look at how exciting that is! Whilst I am on the subject take away all electronics and have weight parity and then maybe we would have a championship that we would all be proud of and Crash would not be making statements about the top four with a race to go.
