What a lap by Stoner! I thought Rossi was going to knock him off P1, Rossi was gradually chipping away bit by bit and then BAM - Casey drops the bomb 1:38.6. Thats 3 BMW's for Casey now in 12 months, greedy little git..LOL..

No one was going to beat Stoners 38.6 as the last RED flag was because of rain.

Well done JB and BrawnGP. I like the new cars but I think they need to axe the soft tyres and also the KERS. Without these I think the new formula would work really well for close exciting racing. Those softer tyres are just a waste of time? :?

A few posters here on this subject are jumping the gun a bit, responses like once a driver wins the WDC mid season thay can stay home for the remainder of the season. Did you not read the article? Constructors championship will remain the same, points system so no driver will be going home mid season as each team will need the most points for there share of the money pot at the end of the season. What will happen though is the team will have to pick a NO 1 driver early in the season and put everything behind that driver and the second driver will be a gun runner accumulating points. My view on this most wins scenario: IT SUCKS BIGTIME!

Mick frohock - Spies time might only be a 10th slower than Toselands but don't forget the MotoGP were riding at night. Riding in the colder night conditions would have considerably less grip than riding in the middle of the day. With that in mind Stoners time which is 3 secs quicker than Spies is Bloody quick!!

James Gatt posts - Meanwhile, Vale is champion in 2009. Are you a pyschic James or do you intend to put a voodoo on all the other riders at the first race. The rider with the most points at the end of the 2009 season will be the 2009 WC, that's if it's the same rules as every other previous year of GP racing. :?

R6ex - That Yamaha looked so clumsy compared to the agile Ducati. I think you will find R6ex that the Yamaha looks clumsy because of Spies riding style, it works for him as he is really fast but he's all elbows and knees. Since we didn't really see Sykes at all on TV since he was running mid pack it's a bit hard to compare.. Anyway I wish Ben all the best as I would love to see him beat the big boys every weekend..

I for one hope Sete is fighting fit this season, I think he will do OK and lets face it without him that would leave 16 bikes on the grid..
