@Matthew Henry- The fact that Spies crashes were unforced means that Haga is beating him fair and square- Spies hardly ever crashed in AMA, he must be right on the limit to compete. Haga s crash today was due to extraneous circumstance.

Not saying anything against Spies, fair play to him for raising his game.

He was well entertaining in all 3 races! People used to race in more than one class at one meeting back in ancient times.

Pleased he has come to BSB, a lot of the best riders went to WSB this year. He does need to work on his starts, lol no launch control on this one Sylvain. He looks like he is having more fun in BSB anyway.

Has nobody thought that Mclaren know the FIA have access to the transmissions made between the car and pits? And that Hamilton et al might have forgotten exactly what was said? What is the point in trying to lie when they were taped? I d imagine driving an F1 car is quite distracting from taking a written transcript of everything you say lol.

Is that a similar Yami to the one Sykes and Spies have got? If it is it s gonna be good this year.

Yeah the Haga of old would have binned it trying to keep up with Spies. Well played Nitro. The Aprillia is looking impressive at this stage.

Good post Revsak. Apart from anything else I think Lorenzo would consider any Spanish victory a bit empty if he hadnt beaten Pedrosa. Sure they are rivals but I never heard of Pedrosa laughing when Lorenzo harmed himself multiple times last year. Maybe they are a bit more adult than the average crash poster ?

@ Crowkiller Toseland had already won WSBK twice, he left as champion. WSBK is pastures new for Spies. Toseland obviously wanted to move on. He s not getting any younger, if he waited until he was pushing 40 he d be lucky to get any action in MotoGP at all.

All this chat about Spies. Bear in mind he had a lot of money and prestige behind him before he came to WSBK. He s been biding his time waiting for the right ride and the right contract. Not to disparage his undoubted riding talents. Toseland has worked hard to get to where he is today. And he s not on a factory bike. I m sure Spies could have got a ride in Moto GP this year.... but not on a factory bike. So he s gone to WSBK where he can get a competitive ride. Who s got the bigger balls, Toseland or Spies?

He s often entertaining to watch even if he s unlikely to win the series any time soon, he brings a bit of superbike style to MotoGP. Great to see him showing Lorenzo some lines round Phillip Island last year regardless of the result.
