F1 » Horner hails 'remarkable comeback' by Vettel

"race stats speak for themselves" do they, strange but the races stats won't mention how they completely changed the car between qually and the race, nor the many people who just suddenly got out of the way.. so the race stats will tell you sod all... Vettel was very lucky with the SCs, helped a lot by other drivers ineptness and a couple of capitulations (forced or otherwise).. it was a good drive, but NOT a great one (only the result was great for him). I would like to see him try that without the total car rework.. that I consider plain bloody cheating (no doubt I'll get some crap from one person at least..), but then that's par for the course with Red bullsh1t.

MotoGP » FIM responds to Bridgepoint announcement

I'll add my voice to the list of people who think Superbike has got too close to protoype racing.. get rid of the o.t.t electronics, only allow stock chassis and mild tuning with a sensible engine mileage requirement (none of this engine per session crap..), aftermarket suspension and brakes allowed. Oh and to make it more interesting, one set of tires to last a season :)

BSB » Lowes doubles up as Byrne takes charge

"If you don't like the showdown then don't follow BSB. There is always Moto GP to bore yourselves rigid with." No one is saying they don't want to follow BSB, but personally I just watch it for the individual races, not the title race (at the end of the day it makes f**k all difference to my life who wins the title).

BSB » Lowes doubles up as Byrne takes charge

@Stavros err no, I'd prefer to have a sensible system that doesn't f**k anyone over and actually gives the best rider over the course of the WHOLE SEASON the title.. and it might be that that's not going to happen this year same as it didn't last year. Worst case in some ways would be for Alex to win the title, that really would make the whole system look stupid (not that I don't want to see Alex win it, it's just he was over 200 points off the lead going into the showdown and now having scored 3 less points than Shakey over the last two rounds, he's only 24 down)

BSB » Lowes doubles up as Byrne takes charge

"can't help feel we've been cheated out of the real battle between Hill, Byrne and Brooks with this Showdown format. I can see the attraction to the final 6 leveller but it's just been too punitive in Hill's case and what happened at Assen wasn't even his fault either" err.. what goes around... Remember who scored the most points last year? Here's a clue.... It wasn't Tommy Hill. This podium credit/showdown crap is just a way to make a short season out of a long one, and is about as sensible as the football playoffs.

F1 » Spa carnage to prompt crackdown on driving standards

"Excessive weaving was not the problem which caused the accident. Grosjean's lack of spatial awareness was the problem. If Grosjean just gave Hamilton a little more space he would not have made the accident inevitable. " Bollox, he didn't need to move over in the first place! All he was ever going to do was completely compromise his line out of the first corner.. It's a bloody long race and doing stupid things off the startline is asking for trouble.
