MotoGP » Lorenzo predicts 2013 MotoGP wins for Marquez

@Dave, stats are just there to be manipulated into proving the sayers argument is correct. If you read the stats too hard to prove why he's still the best(Vale's) with those figures, you have to concede that the last two years prove he's not the fighting force you perceive him to still be either. The only thing that we have with the coming year is hope. That includes all the riders. Let's hope Jorge is still the Metronome. Let's hope Danni's year starts better. Let's hope Marc is the full package. Let's hope that Vale still has it. Of all the hopes above, only Vale has the loser card in there. Jorge and Danni can BOTH afford 1 bad season at their age and Marc is just a rookie.

MotoGP » Test debuts: Marquez, Lorenzo, Pedrosa, Stoner...

Lc, you're wise enough to realise that circulation racing is what the pinnicle of racing now is. living in the past thinking that position swapping is EVER going to happen sorts itself out by lap 3. Electronics(and the undeniable concentration needed) have made the laps that the capable at this level post be so consistant that you know what lap rider X is going to catch Y or have Z laps to hold off rider X etc.

MotoGP » Moto2: Marquez fastest after Corsi controversy

@Jack Bauer. If Marquez dives up the inside coming into the corner then the outside pilot hits the gravel first. So Lorenzo, Rossi or Pedrosa would be in the gravel too! @Lance, if you ride gentleman stylee like Smith you place 23rd in practice. Ride like a young "punt 'em outta the way" Rossi style and you win the Moto2 Championship?? Not fair but the aggresor seems to win?!?!?!?!?!

MotoGP » Casey Stoner heads for last MotoGP race

Using the Logic of the Yellow Perils, here's another stat that proves Stoner a winner even though it's a LOSING situation............(Wylie the stat God will know the answers!) How many times did Casey/Vale lose the front end when in a podium position during the last two years of their respective Ducati service? Remember kids, thats why the number of wins (important to the X-Factor generation of today) of the Ducati decreased from 2007-2010 and to a big fat nil 2011-12.

MotoGP » Rossi puts boot into 'boring' MotoGP

The way forward is a "control ECU" with acceleration and deceleration parameters that are set in stone. A "standard" multi plate clutch with no slipper. The control tyres. Problem with racing solved. Result of above measures... The same guys are at the front and the season end will have riders competing with snapped collarbones and various "impact" fractures. The idea of the perfect race will only happen on a standardish bike with silly sticky tyres and unlimited fuel but STILL keeping the ECU as of today with safety soft fire parameters to save high side city scenario. No manufacturer would like to compete as unless their product is raced on, they just won't race. GLORY DAYS ARE GONE and this sport will be a two-three -horse race....... Just as it has for the last 20years......

MotoGP » Casey Stoner to retire from MotoGP!

@Lost respect...... You're a slave to the system as you don't have the money to choose your own fate. When you've lived a bit and realised who you actually are in life and what your true mission is, you then understand it's about happiness. Some find it in family and fishing and others need the adrenalin shot of head to head combat in whatever disciplin they compete. Lc, keep the Urn warm as some have delusions that Honda is going to re-employ No.46... That pantomime will never happen as Honda realise it's young blood full of desire with talent that lands the title. My 2p would be on Cal at the mo with Alvaro in reserve. That crazy young Hector is a STRONG choice too.

MotoGP » Casey Stoner to retire from MotoGP!

You lucky, lucky Bloke Casey.. The man is 26 and has 2 World Championships, could be 3 at the end of this one. Doesn't want to give his body up for the medical science of nutrition and pushing your physical limits to silly levels of following a regime that controls your life to ensure you're a bowstring of power and endurance while "enjoying" all the "drink this and eat those" orders. At this seasons end his little girl won't even be 1yr old yet and he will be lucky enough to support his wife and child in their family unit. You have very little time with your children before they realise you aren't god(about 7yrs!)and he will be lucky enough to witness and participate in every step of his young girls life. He's gonna leave at the top of his game. Takes a real man to leave the adrenalin circus when the doses are huge and free!!

MotoGP » Rate the 2012 Portuguese MotoGP!

@Zorro and unfinished stories. You two will be banging your head against a brick wall trying to explain why the race was a "gripping" classic. Some people only see the colour of the bike and their favourite rider. When "Fave" fails then it was a terrible boring shutout unless there was a Chimpanzee knife fight in the gravel at turn 1 to stop them having to marvel at 3 men circulating 100% at .001 of a second of a 1.40 lap from each other. A classic of an opera was witnessed unless you wanted handstands on the podium.

MotoGP » Pedrosa from Rossi in wet second session

It's only first day and a wet one at that. It would be nice for the Vale massive if todays times are tomorrows Q times. It's early days and I hope that this weekend is good for all of you as I need to read some good banter next week and if any rider romps it then it becomes a cold place with no conversation. Keep up the good exchange of humour and MILD (not serious) insults with each other. Hoped result(wet race) - Hayden-Crutchlow-Danni-Casey-Jorge Expected result(wet race) Danni-Casey-Jorge-Dovi-Spies. Have a good weekend and enjoy the races!

MotoGP » Poll: Can the Rossi/Ducati partnership work?

On a more serious note. This is the weekend that he HAS to perform. As much as he's no favourite of mine in the cartwheeling, camera kissin' style that some need to see, this is "do or die" weekend. Last outing I put down to a bad day at the office and last year you could forget. As Dr.Thompson says himself last year was an epic fail for Vale. I want to see riders fighting for the front and don't really care who's in the fight as long as it's clean with no "prison rules" racing. If this weekend is another epic fail(Cheers Dr.Thompson) then the only thing I can draw from it is he has had enough of the circus. If the Show ponies fail to show, they're just nags..
