As Steve Parish says "The BBC want the technical contact patch as big as a credit card" (Repeat until mindless)
Cox replied "Thats right Steve, the Beeb have ridden MotoGp into the groung like Tonto!" (Repeat in an emotionally charged growl until mindless)
Suzi P "OOOOOOOOHHHHHHHhhhh Colin(Edwards)! Touch me, lick me, you KNOW you want me" Repeat until she's so desperate she appears naked...............

Rossi 2008: The numbers.
1 disagrees.
Latterrus, agree with you wholeheartedly about the amount of work involved and the determination that was required. Valentino is ALWAYS the threat. It appears now that Casey is another guaranteed one too. It would be better if the rest of the field could constantly up the ante to be a force to be reconed with as the dogfighting at the front should slow the leaders down until the rest of the field could join the party. I'm hoping that the "control" tyre will make this happen. If it's just a single supplier working hand in hand with a certain person/brand we will have another 3 horse race. I don't want that and I'm sure many others don't.

Rossi 'happy' as '09 faster.

So the year before they were on the same bike with the Ducati/Suzuki/Kwak? The same set-up? Same track temps? Same everything? Funny, because I thought with this proto-type racing if you stand still, the tide will wash you away. All the other Bridgestone riders had was a rough base to work from. Same as the lone star Yamaha rider really... He did win this years Championship. I know this as it appears on every thread involving Valentino, and the repetition of this gives me the Horn.

Ok Laterrus, try to remember that the Yamaha that Burgess put together for Valentino with Valentino's input WASN'T even close to the piece o' toilet that was raced the year before. Please drop the "moved onto a Donkey ride and turned it into a winner". Valentino rode the "Donkey" and told Burgess where it went wrong. Burgess using all his knowledge gained from years of HRC and Valentino's input(using Rcv as Benchmark) turned the ENTIRE package on it's head. Yes he swapped manufacturer, from an arrogant "You listen to us" theory of HrC to a more welcoming "We listen to you two guys" from Yamaha. Another theory is that Valentino's arrogance was "grating" with HrC's and teddie was thrown.

Loser 27, as you have pointed out, the odds are set to get the best return for the BOOKMAKER. They are set initially to generate interest, then the odds change to cover all possibilities. So odds are a reflection of hope and toe jam lickers aswell as the "genuine" money makers that throw their life down the toilet chasing the adrenaline rush of a big win that seems so empty after the fact it's time for the rope and a tree at the bottom of the garden. My money is on the GREEN BIKE!!!!!

Scampsuzi, the reason I dislike Valentino is because I like a few others can see the sinister monster that hides behind the "smiley mask". You may not understand what I mean as you see the happy go lucky Valentino. Anyone who is at the top of their game has a killers mindset. It's this mindset that makes them the force that they are and it's this desire to be the best that makes ex champs fall apart when the spotlight stops shining.

due to the fact there are more variables for the results due to the quality of the riders, the sheer number of entrants and the fact a good first race can be repeated or the riders with the wrong set up choice can rectify race 2. Racing is my fix and racing in MotoGp happened at Laguna because the front boys were same pace (For once!") the tv crew were following the front boys rather than the fights for 4-8th in most races where the dog fighting was happening. The last 3 seasons with 3 different champs have been cool. The same winner makes for lame watching. Lets hope for a different champ this coming season!

Scampsuzi, MotoGp will continue without Valentino. If you feel that it will be a lesser series, thats your point of view. Reality is there will still be a winner of the races and the Championship. If you and many others stop watching it because he leaves then was it racing or the need to follow the winner that made you watch? Rossconz, MotoGp is the fastest circulation on two wheels Championship there is. Racing at MotoGp level has been blown to the weeds by the fact the bikes are so precise due to quality of pilots and the fact the bikes are at 99.9% for 100% of the race and circulation times after lap 2 decide who will finish where. There is more anticipation for next years WsbK cont

as alot of change is happening going into next season with the teams and riders. Some of us are waiting for a change in the "usual" podium boys for next years MotoGp and the "control tyre" is the wind of change that I and I'm sure many others have been waiting for. I know it's off topic but the thread generator on this forum is slow and the conversation will run stale...

Rossconz, I'm not having a go at you in person. It's the fact that as much as most don't agree with oxygen thief, he has a valid point of view that is the complete reversal of the majority of posters here. Ie he dislikes Valentino, and so do I. I don't verbally assault Valentino, where as Oxygen thief does. The point I was making is that we are all as bad as each other! My views stink in the eyes of most Vale supportes and theirs in mine. I do really hope that Vale has fun in the F1 car and if he went F1 racing then fine as MotoGp will continue without him fine. The proof is in WsbK as they have turned a going stale race series into what will be the benchmark for racing next season cont..

I hope he has a good old time of it in the car. I really do. He's lucky enough that for a pr stunt the little monkey gets to drive an f1 car which very few of us ever will. But, Rossconz, you are another "pop up when it suits on a thread" very similar to the "haters" that you dismiss. Try reading some of the posts that just repeat themselves with constant back-slapping superlatives of greatest wonder of life there ever could be and YOU would reach for the puke bucket too. To make the exercise easier, change the words "Vale, Valentino and G.O.A.T" for "Biaggi*, Max and K.N.O.B". You will see why it's funny/ unfunny reading. *used for reference as Hardcore Vale fans hate him!
