MotoGP » Lorenzo: It was impossible

Luck always plays a part. Not sure what the controversy is. Lorenzo and Yamaha do not need to push for wins, but Dani sure does. Unless someone can get between them, and only Stoner can do that, or something bad happens to Lorenzo, then the championship is effectively over. Anything can happen but Dani needs a lot of luck to pull this off. Always baffled that people here think the number of world championships translates into who is the best. Certainly it is a measure of that, but you could be the fastest rider ever and not have the most world championships, or even one, that takes consistency, not just outright speed.

MotoGP » Seventh 'our potential' right now, says Rossi

You could throw a blanket over Rossi, Stoner, Pedrosa and Lorenzo. I don't think there's much that separates them in terms of talent. Number of wins or number of championships is irrelevant, too many other factors come into play, even head to head. Was Schumacher better than Moss simply because Moss never won the world championship? One will never know, but I don't think so. Both are supreme talents. Rossi is one of the greats as is Stoner.

MotoGP » Lorenzo: No improvement with 2013 chassis

Really? It's not the same bike as 04. If it were, you'd have teams competitively racing 8 year old bikes. One year old bikes aren't all that competitive. The changes made aren't minimal, they are substantial and no part of the design is not scrutinized, all aspects of the design are to be made better. Do they want anyone knowing about what they're doing? NO! These guys spend all day trying to f*ck with their competitors' minds. Apparently there is also a lot collateral damage happening as well.

MotoGP » Rossi, Ducati start Misano test

It's funny to me that people believe what they read in press releases or what riders say in interviews, as if they are incapable of BS. Anyway, I remember some club racing tests a few years ago where quite a few riders weren't fast enough to heat the tyres to spec, not even to the temps of the tyre warmers, much to the amusement of the tyre engineers. So it doesn't really surprise that Battaini isn't going fast enough to duplicate the problems Rossi and Hayden are having. That's why testing and practice is important and why getting up to race pace is also important.
