RECOMMENDED COMMENT
6 agree.
I'm an Aussie and quite frankly I'm sick to death with all the Vale v Stoner bashing. I'm glad that Rossi has resigned he'll keep the young up and comers honest.
What ever you think of the fans of either rider and it's that they are both great riders and they can ride a bike better then anyone posting here.
Go luck over the next couple of seasons Vale you have been a great champ and you may yet hold another before your time is done.

Bathurst 1000 – Race result.
It's an awesome track TV doesn't do it justice, its steep tight and unforgiving. It's amazing how when lucks with you things just seem to fall into place, good luck to the Toll boys they got themselves into the last 30 laps with their car intact and took their chance.

Bathurst 1000 - Qualifying times
They should have tried to get Bayliss into one of the konica series cars to get more laps into him. He said in an interview he had only managed 24 laps in the car. And there was next to no chance for the lap record to be broken with the crap weather at the mountain today, Murphy said he had a pucker moment going across the top and I'll bet he wasn't the only one.

Dovizioso laments 250GP loss.
If they are going this way production based engines may be a big mistake. How will this effect Super Sport 600s who knows? The step from 600s to 800s is more logical and should lower the learning curve. I don't know if that's a good thing or not. I'll miss the screaming 250s they were cheap to build and that kept lots or makes on the grid, I hope we see them in the 600s.

Vermeulen savours podium repeat.
Great result I'd love to see him on a better bike, I just don't see that much improvement in the Suzuki. He is one of about five very talented riders that look like they could go to the next level but it's a huge step that requires consistancy if they what to challenge Rossi, Stoner and Pedrosa. Great ride.

Rossi vs Stoner - the aftermath.
1 disagrees.
I think Rossi's tactics are what racing is all about, and that is winning! Fair or nice has nothing to do with it, hopefully Stoner learns from this and deals with it. Rossi has used similar tactics in the past when in a head to head for the championship and usually ends up screwing with the other guys head, see Max as a prime example. Rossi's problem this year is that there have been Stoner and Pedrosa to deal with, my bet is he'll do what it takes to get 2 race wins in front of Pedrosa before he rides this way again against Stoner. Then again he may just attack Stoner either way he holds all the cards but some tracks won't allow him to do what he did today.

Rossi vs Stoner - the aftermath.
3 agree.
15 disagree.
it could be said that Rossi had little to lose with some of his passes as long as he bought Stoner down in the process as he couldn't lose points to Pedrosa so he had the advantage in that respect. Anyone remember Loris winning the 250cc championship by bringing his main opponebt down, lol. As soon as I saw the Rossi's block going down the start finish straight forcing Stoner to sit up I knew it was Rossi's race. It was a a great race but as long as Rossi was close enough to stuff his bike up the inside the race was his, no mean feat mind you. Great race but with a fit Pedrosa in the race Rossi couldn't have riden that way. He used the advantage he had that is racing.

How much could Stoner win by?
3 agree.
He hasn't made it past the first corner. If he wins 5 seconds is my bet.
