MotoGP » Bridgestone investigating Assen tyre issues

To those who think there is nothing wrong with a control tyre system. It results in one is the only way in terms of design, so all the bikes end up basically the same and force money to be spent in other areas like electronics. Following this to it's logical conclusion the series will end up like bike version of Nascar, yes cheap and entertaining but hardly the apex of motorsport. It stifles innovation but it will allow far less skilled riders to be competitive due to the bikes being easier to ride. Bikes don't have the same degree of aero as F1 which is the point of difference there but even F1 is now a coin toss as to who's the luckiest on race day. That's not racing ir's manufactured BS

MotoGP » Bridgestone to introduce new MotoGP front tyre

If you want different types/approaches to a problem you must allow room within a ruleset for designer, engineers and riders to solve the riddle put before them. Bridgestone only providing tyres to suit a fairly narrow spectrum of performance suits some and hurts others. You could see this effect as soon as Bridgestone split it's focus from tailoring tyres for Ducati to making a tyre that worked for both Ducati and Yamaha. The bike with the narrow zone of optimal performance suffered greatly, the more neutral bike thrived. Because of the self fulfilling nature that the applied rules produce ie: bore maximums, fuel limits, reliability requirements much is equal among the prototype manufacturers. Where they can separate themselves is via chassis/frame design and electronics. Control tyres make great variations in either of areas even less likely, so we eventually end up with Nascar or a silhouette type of racing. And while this may be entertaining to some it doesn't drive inno

MotoGP » Valentino Rossi lashes out after Qatar nightmare

I Rossi has the money and eats enough humble pie/repents and shines the right a/holes he'll get back on a close to factory spec Honda or Yamaha. But they'll likely make him wait half a season before letting him be on truly competitive machinery but as it stands that would be less embarrassing then his current situation. It all depends on Rossi and how much pie he is prepared to choke down to try to restore some of his lost reputation. I think it would be to bitter a pill for him to swallow. But hey it could happen.

MotoGP » Stoner: MotoGP riders hate each other

This has been the funniest topic I've read in a long time, Crashnet and Stoner have played the fanboi's like Pavlovian Dogs snapping and snarling like angry little half starved pups (or puppets) snapping at the chance to get a piece of Stoners flesh. None of this is news, there has always been plenty of venom between riders, Rossi often the main protagonist. Stoner has some **** stirrer in him and you've all just gobbled it up and got a dose of the green apple splatters. Too funny.

MotoGP » Japanese MotoGP, Motegi - Qualifying

Stoner is simply awesome Jorge likewise. Dovi more like it Dani will know he could have been quicker Spies after all his problems would be wrapped Marco a second off Stoner would be a little disappointed Rossi looked like he pushed harder then any other time this year and depending on how the race pans out is a chance at a podium. And Damian Cudlin took over 4 seconds out of his first FP lap time hope he keeps it upright in the race.
