I'm an Aussie and quite frankly I'm sick to death with all the Vale v Stoner bashing. I'm glad that Rossi has resigned he'll keep the young up and comers honest.

What ever you think of the fans of either rider and it's that they are both great riders and they can ride a bike better then anyone posting here.

Go luck over the next couple of seasons Vale you have been a great champ and you may yet hold another before your time is done.

/bow Some awesome talent and classic characters in that group of men. Hats off to all of them some of my favorite memories of motorsport are of these men racing, the 80s and 90s in particular some amazing races and racers. The one truely sad memory was of Rainey hitting those F'ing humps of gravel, such talent so damn sad. Thank You Gentlemen.

I'm certainly no fanboi, but it is as obvious now as it was with Aggo, Spencer, Lawson, Rainy, Doohan, Rossi, and their teams the whole package where doing it better then everyone at the time. Every single one of those riders in their most dominant times had more then just a "RIDER" advantage. This doesn't lessen what they have done, just because they had the best bike, tyres, engineers, or crew. That is what it takes to be dominant. At the moment there are three teams and riders battling like hell to get that kind of advantage, atm Stoner and Ducati seem to be able to react quicker then the others, but the season isb't overe yet so we'll see in a few months time.

Now if Rossi had set the same times as Stoner and was this far ahead of the pack, most people here would be proclaiming him "God of all things on two wheels" yet as it stands you belittle Stoner. Yes Stoner has an seems to have an advantage atm but whos to say the results from earlier this season weren't a result of others having the same type of advantage, and only in the last few races that Ducati has been brought back on to an equal playing field. It's not all the rider and it's not all the bike, stop all the whinning this is racing and as it has always been the team with the best bike and rider combination on the day tend to win. And Stoner hasn't made it past turn 1 yet.

The biggest differences that Ducati has over other teams are the"Desmo" valve system and the bikes frame, Stoner and the engineering team that works with him. The other factors are shared with other bikes on the grid including the ECU and TC.

Raw Dawg has hit the nail on the head, if Hayden was only about the $$ he would take his WC back to the good ole US of A and rider the money train all the way to the bank in AMA. RD is also right about the massive talent that has come out of the US over the years, some of the greatest riders of the last 30 years has come from the US. I'd like to see Hayden on a Ducati, it would suit him more so then the Honda IMO.

Good luck to him, he's going to need it. LS would have to be one of the toughest tracks to ride with hand and wrist injuries, Pedrosa is a tough little nugget and has performed while injured before I just hope if he does race he gets through without causing more damage. Good Luck DP.

This fanboi crap is well CRAP, the top four riders were awesome and Stoner was freakish. Rossi tried to up his pace, but each time he did Stoner just upped the ante.
