"I know pretty much every single manoeuvre in the book, and that''s why I''m the best at my job. We are talking about a skilled driver under intense pressure making a split-second decision which no-one, not unless they are in Formula One, can comprehend."

.........Puh-lease....God I hope Massa wins the championship, Lewis is so full of himself. Of course he is skilled at racing cars but he was given everything on a silver platter, he should be good. But the best? Come on Lewis. Show some gratitude. Show some humility. Have some respect for your competitors. He''s made a staunch Massa fan out of me, that''s for sure.

What a joke. I can't believe this. Montreal was one of my favourite cicruits to drive in video games and one of my favorite to watch on tv. It was special race I had to stay up til 3am for. I always looked forward to it. Another pathetic money hungry decision by the foolish suits at the top. Bring back champcar! F1 is getting worse and worse.

What's with all the bitterness towards Jordan from some of you guys? I wholeheartedly agree with him, and he might have achieved more in F1 if Spetember 11 didn't create an economic downturn his private team couldn't recover from. Bob - Charlie Whiting was not in charge of the penatly, he simply said "i think it will be ok" when Ron asked him. The fact the Ron asked him shows even the McLaren team boss thought it was questionable. In the end Hamilton would have never been so close to Kimi into the hairpin if he didn't shortcut the chicane, thereby 'gaining an advantage' by cutting it. Perverse? The rule book says you cannot gain an advantage by cutting a chicane. Case closed.

Tim - British? NZ? Jeez make up your mind lol. I've been watching F1 since 1997. I think this season has been ok actually, Kubica & Vettel taking wins, Bourdais making his debut, Webber finding some reliability & Heidfeld & Lewis making some absolutely amazing passes. And I even won a bunch of cash when Kova won at 13/1 odds :) I just don't like Lewis' big mouth. Everyone knows he has one, I don't see how everyone here could disagree. Maybe it doesn't piss everyone off but they could't be so blind as to think he doesnt have one? The only thing this season has lacked is more Sato! Anyway gotta go, really, this time :)

Piercarlogassolini (glad i don't have to pronounce that!), I'll lurk from time to time & enter discussions that aren't about British drivers or teams. But right now I'm checking out the speed forum, it seems that without an American driver it's the place to be if you want to voice an opinion about drivers without personally upsetting anyone, not quite the same fan boy atmosphere and the arguments are't so one sided which is terrific.

Oh. I did't actually realise crash was a British site, I'll find somewhere else to converse then, somewhere the people aren't so bias. Thanks for the tip Tim.

Personally I don't think the sport would be much different without Hamilton. The cameras are on him so much that we miss the excitement from the rest of the pack. Of course you need self belief to succeed, but there's no need to verbalise how great you think you are. Just look at Sebastien "I'm no Schumcher" Vettel, he doesn't talk egotistical crap, he drives the wheels off the thing and seems to have plenty of self confidence. Call me old fashioned, but I prefer a more humble champ, that's why I'm backing Massa. P.S I was never an Ali fan either, I wish he was more like UFC champ Forrest Griffin, or IRL champ Scott Dixon: Exciting performers and still great, humble guys.

5-0 huh, so nobody agrees that his comment was a bit self-loving, a bit over the top? I must have ran into a pack of Lewis fanboys...

No bias I just prefer people that aren't full of themselves.
