I could not resist the subject matter... Here I am joining the anti-Hamiltons... Arguing with the Hamilton's fans is a lost case first, second if there are any anti-Hamilton fans they couldn't do a better job in hammering Hamilton as those that are trying at all costs to tell us that Hamilton is the best that ever happened to F1. Well for those fans of Hamilton, please just accept the fact that he is the WDC, an achievement non-the-less impressive, and keep your feelings in check when you are commenting on issues. There is no need to tell the world who was responsible in the spy saga, as Barry does accusing Alonso. The world knows the truth and frankly doesn't care anymore... Past history...

It will be difficult to get posters to understand that WDC status has nothing to do with Driver of the Year. I have noticed few of us tried to do so but without success. As for the list I still believe Vettel should have been placed after the trio Alonso/Hamilton/Massa. Perhaps with Hamilton 3rd, in this competition his Canada driving is a no no for 1st position as well as his erratic driving in some of the races. Second Massa despite his Silverston performance and the FIA assistance allegations (I think mostly from Britons and few other Hamilton sympathisers of different origins). 1st Alonso: he showed what a Driver of the Year should be, even if with no chance at WDC and with a poor car.

We know that if the car is good (Ferrari, McLaren, Renault?, Williams?) most likely the WDCs will come from one of the good cars. I don't see what is the problem. Points will be given the same way to determine the WCC and who gets what monies. All the other drivers occupying other cars may have a chance to win (Vettel driving in the rain). Overtaking will not increase but strategists will have some good time devising strategies on how best their drivers and cars will get to the podiums. One thing is certain we won't have a driver who needs only 2 or 3 points to get the WDC relax in the last GP and take it easy if his medal count is inferior to the guys ahead of him.

rich ard, if we did agree on everything would have been very strange... I think the combination of engine and car made the difference with Vettel. Frankly Bourdais should not have been around. As for the others let us see what they will do with Mercedes/McLaren engine.

simon as an Englishman you may be a disgrace when you permit yourself to call "scum" those who do not agree with you. Those who express a different view than that of yours are doing so because they believe in their views. Graceful fans would accept views different than theirs. By the way I also think at least Hamilton should have qualified better than 4th with the fans compared to Vettel. I just express my views but I do not call anyone "scum".

Well here we go again with some sentimentalism. I think Alonso as well as Hamilton deserved a much higher position than Vettel. We may argue as much as we want but to me Vettel is just lucky to have a Ferrari engine to a RB car. That helped him to show some sparks and the unfortunate incidents/mistakes whatever you wish to call them of both Hamilton and Massa. Otherwise Vettel is another Button: the latter just got lucky with his only win because all the top contenders were out.

I did describe him somewhere else in this site as gokkarter but frankly to have Vettel better than Hamilton is a joke. At least we have to recognize his perseverance throughout the season and the end result when we vote.
