Since you asked Bob… Stonner was on Michelins in 2006, when did he helped develop Brigestones? He simply inherited them into last years' Championship. There you go, it was easy!

No, do not kill Michelin, or in that case Dunlop, or anyone that could step in the Competition for better tyres. Just let Michelin, as Dunlop can, bring as many tyres to each event as they need to.

Motp. Of course, I care about great racing too, my point exactly… ‘One Tyre’ rule would be like ‘One Constructor’ Championship, not good (F1 rings a bell). We need more tyre manufactures up there, let them bring as many tyres as they need to be in the fight.

With just few laps, he cannot possibly test all the rubber sent by Michelin, some riders like Eduards improved at least a bit. Even if there was nothing new related to tyres, Pedrosa should use all the possible testing time to develop the new engine or whatever Honda has got for him. That is the number one Honda Rider? Whatever Rossi left in 2003 is not competitive anymore, Puig should tell him.

So this means Rossi has been lucky through (just to mention MotoGP riders with wins) 9 years against, like some would say, ‘Not Real Competition’ in the likes of ABE, BARROS, BAYLISS, BIAGGI, CAPIROSSI, CRIVILLE, ELIAS, GIBERNAU, HAYDEN, LORENZO, McCOY, MELANDRI, PEDROSA, ROBERTS JR, STONER, TAMADA, UKAWA, VERMEULEN. He truly has been a great rider and sportsman during more than a decade!

I kind of see this as bad news for the Sport, Honda’s doing much better on Brigestones and any Michelin’s doing badly. Also Honda pushes to get what they want. Obviously, the situation pushes towards One Tyre Rule, but I think it would be much better to go back to using as many tyres as Manufactures can provide, no quantity limit. So that Michelin get in the fight again (even Dunlop and Pirelli too). Competition is good for development, avoiding it is not good at all.

I think it is quite simple: 990cc, No Traction Control, and let the Tyre Manufactures bring as much tyres as they want so that any of them can be competitive. Not the other way around by just One Tyre Manufacturer because he will be able to decide the outcome of races at will, too much power to One Company is not good for the Sport. In other words, Go back in time and admit ‘Honda pushing Silly’ Rules to have more Control over the outcomes was not a good idea.

Same tyres, lighter bike, equal better grip under slippery conditions. I still have my doubts about that ‘easily picking up’ the bike… If you rely on the “If you cannot win make the others loose” theory, deep inside it is unethical, you may win and get away with it, but people won’t like you because they have a ‘feeling’ that something is not right, maybe they have no prove, but that perception won’t change. Therefore, whoever relied on this will think that people should like him because his winning, but in order to win he still has to make the others loose or get worst and end up cheating for good. In my humble point of view, that is how a lot of people feel, not only in our Sport!

Bladeo, you have your facts wrong mate: Rossi finished second on a Satellite Honda in his first year at MotoGP. Stoner finished eight on a Satellite Honda in his first year at MotoGP. Rossi was Champion on a Satellite Honda in his second year at MotoGP. Stoner was Champion on a Factory Ducati in his second year at MotoGP. Rossi did not make points only in 3 races on his first year (Welkom, Sepang and Ricardo Tormo). Stoner did not make points in 7 races on his first year (Mugello, Catalunya, Sachsenring, Laguna Seca, Motegi, Storil and Ricardo Tormo). “Casey in his first season on a factory bike won the title”… Rossi did that on a Satellite Team (Nastro Azzurro Honda).

No (MSD)_V.1, in ’06 he had plenty of experience being himself picked up by staff. And to add to the easily picking up the light bike ‘Conspiracy Theory’, that would also explain Melandri´s or other Ducati´s results in the mix!
