@ladyfan Well, I think he figured that sticking with Honda would be the safest bet for the new 800cc switch, keeping the same team and crew chief. Who knew Ducati would blow everyone out the water?!? He probably assumed that Honda would treat him a little better after bringing home the WC. But, I'm glad Marco couldn't hang on the Duc, because there wouldn't be a factory Ducati seat open for Nicky. Personally I wanted him to switch back in 07 but what can you do... good to see it still ended well... go Nicky!!

@SARAN Racers don't want to be 2nd or 3rd, they all want to be 1st. Why else do they compete?!? Do you think any factory team out there wants to be 2nd? Would Rossi want to be 2nd?!?

Great move for Nicky and Ducati. I think he will do great on the Duc. Winning the WC?!?… maybe not(please prove me wrong), but I believe he’ll be back in the top 5 for sure. Wow, what a season coming up next year… Rossi back in full form, Nicky to Ducati, Dovi to Repsol(maybe), Marco to Kawasaki, and then Gibbers possible comeback… can’t wait. Only thing that bothers me is why Ben Spies isn’t signed yet… Suzuki might be kicking themselves right now after Ben outperformed their signed riders especially Vermeulen. Oh and Nori to Ducati(WSBK)… can’t we just skip the rest of 08 and start 09 now?!?

Haga is the type of racer you either like or you don't, no middle ground. I for one am a big Haga fan... my interests in motorcycle racing began by watching Haga on the R7... can't wait to see him rip it up on a Ducati! With Hayden in route to join Ducati in MotoGP and Haga in WSBK... I guess it's time for me to get a duke!

Well I guess Ben Spies can only get in on a non-factory team, he wouldn't be dumb enough to join Kawi... or would he?!? Man I was hoping to see him on a factory ride, here's hope to Suzuki surprising us with a 3rd bike.
