MotoGP » BT Sport reveals MotoGP TV line-up


I'm happy enough with this. I assume Iwan Thomas and Melanie Sykes are bikefans. If not they're a little left field - viewers will start getting annoyed if they're ignorant about who is who etc. I like Hodgson too, funny guy, interesting and always with a story. Less so Toseland, but we'll see. Huewen and Ryder should be a good solid package, and Gavin Emmett is great too. Good Luck to them all.

He mentioned a while ago that he was talking to teams in Moto2. If Espargaro, Redding and Nakagaami are moving up to MotoGP, and Mika Kallio hasn't resigned with Marc VDS, yet there are some prime seats available in 2014. If he can get near the front, and has the backing, I say go there. If it leads to a production racer for a few years in MotoGP that's the way to go. Even if it doesn't work out, he'll easy get a WSBK ride off the back of it.

MotoGP needs to be full prototype so the manufacturers can develop and innovate. I don't think anyone wants CRT to essentially be a SBK class in MotoGP. It needs to be a 'step up' for teams. Suzuki should have a 'factory' CRT bike in there, Kawasaki have an engine in the Avintia bike. These should be stages for their development to get them back into having full MotoGP prototypes on the grid. I believe BMW are probably using the Forward CRT bike to test the water and use it as a base to develop a prototype. The platform of top class racing should be a stage that all manufacturers can - and want to - get to, not just for those with the money. Dorna need to make this happen, without pandering to the factories. I'd much rather see a MotoGP class with Aprilia, BMW, Norton, Kawasaki, Suzuki, KTM, MV, MZ, Triumph, Benelli, Bimota and Mahindra, but with no Honda, Yamaha or Ducati.
