MotoGP » KTM withdraws from 250GP.

Roll on the 600s, 250cc is gonna be purely a training ground for when (not if) Simoncelli, Barbera and Bautista (and maybe Pasini) go up to MotoGP, and possibly for some riders shopping for 600 rides. Anyone in the middle will prob be better saving their 250 money til they can buy a customer 600. Also, I would dearly love to see Aprilia/Gilera, KTM, Honda AND Suzuki, Kawasaki and Yamaha on the first 600 grid. If Dorna or whoever could make that happen, it'll be SO much more of a success. And encourage a bigger MotoGP field perhaps? Come back Team KR!

MotoGP » Puig blasts Hayden.

I think Honda would bend over backwards for Dani, and justifiably so because he's a quick rider, but they probably see Puig as expendable and could ship him out easily. I don't think Dani would follow him unless Honda start building slow bikes. I don't think Dani deserves any crap, he's said nothing and is a good rider. He'd do well to make sure he distances himself from this interview though, as it doesn't do anyone any favours. Except Nicky obviously, hence all the supportive comments above :).

MotoGP » 125: Smith considers Polaris, Aspar options.

I would expect the team are looking at Derbi machinery for next year. They've been impressive with Ajo and Belson this year after all. Polaris would maybe be more interested in being a Spanish company sponsoring a Spanish manufacturer even though the core team and bike are Italian at the mo. Perhaps a Derbi would be cheaper too, or they could run 2 bikes, or it'd be easier to run a junior in the CEV Buckler champ. I think KTM wouldn't be competitive enough sadly, and Bradley should get on the Aspar asap if it comes to that. Gadea and Tutusaus are out the door anyway. I'd still like to see Brad on the top step this season though. Come on son!

MotoGP » Rizla Suzuki to run third bike at Motegi.

Does anyone know if the 'cost per bike' is the same? Or is it more expensive or cheaper overall to run a third bike? With Kawasaki probably doing it next year and suzuki being more regular, perhaps more teams should do it. A bigger grid would be much more exciting. Come back Team Roberts! Repsol Honda did it a lot back in the day with the 500s didn't they? Okada, Doohan, Criville, and sometimes a young Gibernau? Or am I mistaken?

MotoGP » Spies wins third AMA Superbike title.

I agree Suzuki should make an effort to put a satellite team on the grid. Kawasaki should too, but perhaps there wouldn't be too many offers at the mo.... and the sooner Aprilia come back too the more interesting it'll be. That aside, I say good luck to Spies, he put in a good performance at Donington this year and it'd be interesting to see how he copes when he's not on the best bike all the time. He'll also have to get over his apparent fear of flying pretty quickly to join the world circuit.
