MotoGP » Six races to decide Rossi's MotoGP future

Rooshooter November 27, 2013 12:02 PM @BRB Surely you don't think that Motogp will die cuz Rossi stops racing? When Mick won 5 years in a row then stopped, racing continued. Motogp is bigger than Rossi or anyone else for that matter. @ ROOSHOOTER Fact , when Mick was winning his championships Moto GP viewership was at an all time low. There have been several photos posted at tracks where the likes of Schwantz , Rainey , and even Mammola received standing ovations in winning races whereas Mick only received polite applause if that. Do not fool fool yourself. Moto GP is entertainment at its best in motorsport and it NEEDS a personality like Rossi to flourish because its champions have to be likable and great with the bike. If you want boring processionals go watch F1 and Vettel

F1 » Horner: No words for Vettel’s run

Richard, you have good points and i'll give you that but the first person that you want to beat is your team mate and so I have a great difficulty in believing that the cars are the "same" even if crew chiefs say so. The results do not back up your statement. Vettle is a very good driver, but so are the others that I've listed with all being prior world champions. For the sake of this discussion I will agree on the driver being more dedicated at this point with the combination of a superior car, deal?

Murhp64 November 05, 2013 5:01 AM Paul, yes I'm going to tell you the cars are even, Horner has said numerous times they have the same car and set up. Hey Murphy , ive got a bridge in Brooklyn to seel to you on the cheap. You believe everything you hear as the gospel? As in Moto GP even the top manufacturers will say that the factory bikes are the same for the riders in a team but it is clearly never the case I cite 2007 Hayden / Pedrosa at Honda. Even though Hayden had just won the Championship the bike was being developed for the physically smaller Pedrosa by Hayden at Hondas requestbecause he was deemed the future by Honda for their Moto GP program in the factory team. Its the same in F1 and if you actually spoke to people who were honest theyd tell you the same not publicity puppets looking to throw the public a bone.

@Tomcol All of the drivers are prima donnas. I want to see more competition for wins not just some guy walking away with the title. If you have won three titles with one team why not take a leap of faith to test your skills with a lesser team to see if you are as truly good as everyone says you are and not relying on a superior car? Im not blaming the car manufacturer for doing what they should be doing in giving the driver the best car, im saying to prove any doubters wrong, and im not alone, by taking another seat and duplicating the dominant wins.

@ Ptolemy You should think about what youre saying. Its been a long know fact that the number two driver doesnt have the exact equipment as the number 1 driver on the team. Most of the resources are provided to the driver who is most likely to give you the title. Once again I refer to Moto gp and the current case of Lorenzo and Rossi at Yamaha.

@Richard richard November 04, 2013 8:56 PM paul. the three most important words are...THE....BEST...DRIVER! Richard, If he is truly the best do like Hamilton and take a risk to move to another team to see if you get the same results. If he were to get the same results then id be convinced. Not saying he isnt great with the package he has but step out of the bubble of the best package to see if you can win on other machinery. Its been done before by a guy in Moto GP named Rossi, you may have heard of him when he won World Championships with Honda then switched to Yamaha and did the same. THATS greatness.
