F1 » Palmer 'wouldn't rule out' Donington purchase

it had nothing to do with his background. The man is incompetent as history has proven. the going was always going to be tough, although he had the dream and the ambition, gillett didn't have the resources, the ability, the money, the talent or even the time to live his dream. i'm not knocking gillett because of his ambition. he is being knocked because of his stupidity and naivety.

WSBK » Silverstone takes Donington Park slot

I disagree that Silverstone is monopolising everything. There are only four circuits capable of hosting this size of event Rockingham (noise restrictions) Brands (ditto) Donington (in pieces) and Silverstone. Brands doesn't want world superbikes. Where else can it go? Brands has Superleague, BSB, BTCC (2 events) WTCC, Auto GP, DTM, Trucks, F3/GT Silverstone has the 2 GP events, Superleague, WSB, BTCC, Le Mans, FIA GT, F3/GT, BSB. I consider that a reasonable split, especially since it is the only circuit upto the grade.

F1 » Silverstone rejects British GP ticket price claims

I see that Chris Sylt of Formula Money has been using fag packets instead of calculators again. It amazes me how many people grasp only one point of an argument and can only think digitally. (1 or 0, On or Off, Yes or No) It assumes that the fee increase will be directly passed on to the ticket prices. There are no other factors considered. Concession stand fees, catering, hospitality, a debenture scheme (one that works instead of Donington's Pie in the Sky) Please try to remember that there is never just one answer to a problem.
