Donington ramps up British GP plans – but is it too late?
3 agree.
3 disagree.
Kyle: A GA ticket will give you access to the banking from the unterraced end of Copse in a continuous run through Maggotts, Becketts, Chapel and on upto the Hanger Straight grandstand, the banking on the outside of Vale, the fab Club corner and a little down to Abbey. I am very happy with the value for money I get. My 3 day ticket is cheaper than three days at Alton Towers, not bad for the premium motorsport event. Much better value for money than a premier league football event (£60 a ticket for 90 mins "entertainment")

5 agree.
Brands is a good circuit but the noise restrictions and access are limiting. Silverstone is the only circuit capable of dealing with the infrastructure and numbers of people involved. Amendment to my first post, I have found the story on Visordown

2 comments: 1)I have just looked on visordown and can't find any referance to this story. 2)Give it up Donington, you are a great club circuit but a lousy international venue, run by a dreamer and staffed by the inexperienced.

Track share to end British GP controversy?
23 agree.
30 disagree.
"Silverstones days are numbered"... Hmm, a venue with money and plans, with a moto gp contract and experience vs an bunch of incompetent dreamers with no financial backing, some good ideas and no time. Donington should back out gracefully and return to being a good club circuit and return to the real world.

Gillett hints at Donington get-out clause if F1 splits
2 agree.
1 disagrees.
Mr Gillett obviously hasn't read the negative comments on the Download forum. Attendees complained of: 1)long walks from car parks to venue/campsites 2)poor security 3)lousy food 4)worse toilets 5)poor quality wristbands that came off too easily 6)huge queues getting out of the carparks So, Mr Gillett, your arrogance belies the actual events. As always

'Concerned' Ecclestone predicts few F1 entries by deadline
6 disagree.
Calvin: Obviously the FIA only consists of 1 man making all decisions and considering all the information at hand. There can't be many layers of experts and consultants striving to ensure accuracy and realism. Naturally Max picked the figure of 40 million out of thin air without any consideration over breakfast one morning. I am certain that the FIA does not rely on input from other organisations and is a purely Stalinist dictat. Or perhaps the governing body has realised that the sport is unsustainable at the current level and action needs to be taken. Hmmmmmmmm.

Silverstone to be sold to Ecclestone to secure British GP?
1 agrees.
strange that this report differs from what was written, which as that the brdc will bring in a company to form silverstone plc. this does not mean they are selling to bce

Ecclestone: I have 'nothing against Silverstone'
2 agree.
3 disagree.
Reason: your arguments are spurious. 1) The BRDC are a private members club who own the circuit. Therefore they have the right to do exactly what they want. We are guests in their house and should respect their property. 2) The tax payer has payed more than enough to improve the Silverstone infrastructure. 3) The BRDC has never refused to improve the circuit. The question was one of funding. 4) Donington is a hole with diabolical facilities purporting to be a family day out. 5) Bernie has sucked the fun out of a once proud sport. Only the junior formulae are entertaining now. Incidently, I live in Northamptonshire and am a frequent visit to the so called quagmire.
