...Also someone commented on the 990 HRC bike was thanks to Rossi and Hayden!!???! Again No partly Rossi YES but that bike was developed by feedback from Great riders like Barros/Biaggi and the second best Honda rider and 990 Rider Gibernau. By 2006 when Hayden won HE was developing/riding the EVO bike (Alot of which he asked for maybe not the clutch). The Bike Danni was riding most likey came from Sete/Melandri and Biaggi feedback and Hayden's in 05. BUT nearly All bike development is done back home in Japan with Engineers and computers NOT 1 specific guy!! Also where are the Danni haters now that said Dovi would own him?? Actually, you are wrong. The bike that Rossi & JB developed was the one for the 2007 season which was a dog, only Rossi could get anywhere on it and other riders were commenting on how hard he was trying to keep up with Casey. He was injured for Winter Testing following that season so the bike's initial direction and development was done by Colin Edwards. This direction is what made the bike ridable by other people. How could he they barley tested AND were on MC when the 08/09 bike was done around the BS tyres...

Whoa everyone calm down!!! Where have you heard Dorna or anyone say all rookies EXCEPT Ben spies can test?? Thats right you haven't. The only issue here is one you should all be aiming at Yamaha and Tech 3 as they have not got the Funds for a test (they spent them on Ben's early test last weekend remember!). If they had the money He would be testing but as JT and Colin found out last year the team DOES not test even if they are still at the track from the Sunday race!! Aim your rant at the right people not Dorna (this time!!)

Rossi is simply playing HIS game (Like the F1 stuff). He is playing his cards for sure and you can accept his distain at Yamaha for effecively treating a new guy better than him. (Imagine your Boss gave the New guy who started last year, your office and salary, yet you had carried the company over the last 4 years??). Rossi has no say what Yamaha do but he does himself and Yamaha other prize asset (Mr B) and Ducati would pay double Yamaha to get him and the challenge is not as hard (stoner has proved that). This may seem like idle threat (and now possibly is) But I have no doubt HE WILL leave if pushed. Wow and all this from a guy who is not even remotely a fan of Rossi!!

Right A Great first test for Ben spies and he has showed his skill. BUT as every year this means nothing (other than a confidence boost) as has been said he is running the pace of Edwards et al i.e. best of the rest (which now includes Hayden,Kalio,Depuniet etc). This all on a track he has spend the last 5 days going round on. If he can convert this pace to the Estoril track (as ben has shown he is a fast learner) then he will be fighting for 4th or possible podiums later in the year. Very Good start but early days yet, I still think the engine thing is going to be a big factor next year though!!!

Casey won more races in 2007 than he has in the last two put together which kinda makes him look like a one hit wonder(i've never understood people quoting that as a sign of his greatness )and not the new Rossi that he and his fans think he is , but that's by the by. Yes but still Stoner HAS WON more races in 800 than Rossi (20 to 19) and more poles (17 to 13). Compare this to their teammates and I think Stoner has shown his talent Clearly over ANY argument with the bike (and check Valencia QP for prove of lack of TC control). I'd say that he has most definately got something to prove. ??? WHAT A WC I would say Danni and Jorge have more to prove than Stoner?

Would that be the same SBK he crashed in race 1? Fail. That was the point of the original poster, he is fast but erratic. Get it? Doubtful......... Mmmm I remember a certain Ben Spies having a couple of unforced Off's at the begining of his World Supers career earlier this year..yet look what he went on to do?? ..which any Haters will lap up. JT had a Good first year and a poor second (for all reasons most being himself) but he tried and failed, sad (For JT fans) but fact. I never really liked or was a fan but all the haters rile me as fanboys do so I sometimes respond or flamebait (alittle) because of it. Lets see how he does over the winter and first few races, The engine rule could still affect him alot (Other Riders too) and he WILL have tough competition in a resurged Marco along with the rookies, Can he be the first NON-Factory race winner in the 800 era??? Lets see. Point of note what happend to colin nearly a second slower that his QP time?? Did he get JT's bike and Ben his??

@ Antiseptic When did this place become Darkwaknights Blog? Why thankyou Anti I must make such a great statement of fact that i stand out from the crowd? that or you are searching for my posts!! Look I will say it again (although I have in past post's so you can read them if you like). Ben Spies is a Great,Great Talent no doubt and a fully deserved WC, He has also been great in GP thus far and I am not calling at all. Just the obsessive Fanboys, Ben is a realist and is playing down his chances but the Spies(ers) are pushing him up to Rossi heights already. He will do well no doubt but MANY things could happen and if he falls you have given everyone else ammo to fire at him...
