Great race by danni with an injured knee, and a stuning Pole position so quick after changing tyres. All these races will pay dividends next year when he is fighting for the WC. And normal service has been resumed with him beating his team mate home in QP and the race, Dovi did well to get his podium but really Nicky gave it too him by making so many braking mistakes. But well done anyway.. still not a great race and a real shame for JT and Jorge, I hope JT can do a phillip island at Valencia and maybe a podium!!

..cont mid season. Once danni moved from MH to BS nicky found the off switch and that explains why he can beat him now. Utter drivel.. Danni has been the fastest Honda for the past 2 seasons without exception.. why on earth would he need anyone else's data. He started 08 with 0 testing and was still the first Honda home come the flag (on the podium) who did he nick this setting from in such short time?? Jebus? I have read some biased articles but boy that one is sound. i think then closing statement sums up the article "Don't be surprised if next week, the Weekly World News has the headline: "MOTOGP SHOCKER - DANI PEDROSA IS BAT BOY!" true journalism.. bless em!!

That suprbike planet (american site) article is so biased i nearly laughed myself to sleep!! i qoute "knowledgable sources say that Dani Pedrosa re-upped his contract with HRC last year, and in that agreement, he stipulated that he would have full access to Nicky Hayden's data (or any rider on a Honda who is fast)...while also stipulating that his own data would be kept private" what a load of tosh. These sources are they the cleaners? maybe ex michelin guys? probably Hayden fans. I heard that it is in Danni's contract that no honda rider can finish infront of him ever!. If they try the bike develops a 'problem' to let danni past!! Maybe they turned it of when Hayden signd 4 ducati..cont

@ Mr Creeky Dani was in the team in 06 when nicky won!! Also the Honda was built for corner speed and agility not power and grunt (Honda's thought's on what would win the WC in the 800 era) Danni is small so this suited him more.. next you will be saying that ducati built there bike for Stoner..B4 he signed. Albert although a moron is simply having a go 'Back' at nicky who had a go at him first in the article mentioned above, and in the 'Interview' he was asked specific questions on which he gave an answer. Check it on the MGP website. Danni has and will continue to own nicky on the track though, along with dovi i would guess!!

I know eveyone thinks danni has been ill treated by Honda, but only in the same way Yamaha 'Ill' treat it's other riders. Danni is the chosen son of Honda (as Dovi is also) so they have put him first. But Nicky asked to use the air valve honda before it was ready and they let him, It's not as if they have jeoperdised his races just for fun. It is simply a case of 'prefered' riders everyteam has one. Has ducati 'Ill' treated Melandri by getting other riders to test and making vocal thoughts about mid season replacement? We do not know what goes on inside any team, and nicky may be a real nasty guy who is better at the PR side of his role than danni??. Agree though that AP should go fast!

Salamander Please explain what Cr"p i spout? Jorge only weighs a few kilo's more than danni so why is danni beating him this year? does 6 kilos make all the differance? come on. Everyone is getting carried away with Nicky's weight to danni's, hell even stoner/melandri must only be 8-9 kilos more and that ducati is faster so even there. B Please do not let personal feeling cloud 'FACT', I wish dorna would add the weight and I would bet danni would still kick ***** lets hope they do to end the spouting.

Salamander will this same ballast also effect Jorge then? as he is only a few kilos heavier?? So i guess that explains why he has had such a good year on the Yamaha as it must have been built for him and his size?? Rossi was just lucky to manage it better than nicky did eh?

I am so sick of this stupid weight thing that people say inc comm on TV. This may help danni on exceleration but it will also disadvantage him when turning the bike as he has less weight!! People cannot except Danni is simply more talented than Nicky (and most others) as a racer, In 04 was the honda built for sete? in 05 i guess for melandri? BigSue - if you want to compare stats then lets look at Nicky 6 years in the Big class to Danni's 3 :- Nicky - Wins = 3 Podiums (inc wins) = 16 Poles = 5 F/L = 6 Danni - Wins = 6 Podiums (inc wins) = 25 Poles = 10 F/L = 9 Now i am no expert but in half the time danni has managed to pretty much double nicky in stats!!! Nicky won in 06 cause he was consistant and he deserved it fair and square.. But Danni it twice the racer and rider than nicky (fact no malous in that statement) and the result's prove it. In 09 Danni will beat him again..simple.

Puig does need to stay out of it as he is making Danni look bad. Danni does not like to spout cr@p and stay out of the way of verbal war (see the Jorge thing at the season start). This alberto being a T*sser & he really needs to leav well alone. But it is clear tha there is no love lost between the two riders (and this is as much from Nicky and Danni) but that is there bag no-one else's. As for the stat of nicky beating Danni in the last 2 rounds from 3.. really if Danni had not crashed (his own fault mind by his admission..unlike stoner's crashes which were tyres) do you think Nicky would have beaten danni?? I think not. Danni has had bad luck for 2 seasons, but he is a WC elect in 09
