..cont can you please show me a Bike (other than this R1) that rides itself? By your Failed description Sykes should have been following BS home every weekend or is that because Ben is Too good? But Cal has already better'd Ben Spies time at the First attempt?? So which is it BS Amazing talent or the Amazing R1 or maybe it is the Team (the same team that packed up on Sunday) Both Cal and JT are new along with atleast one of their Crew Chiefs but I guess none of these were needed they could have all stayed in bed and let the riders go out!! If you are going to argue..shhh.. secret here.. make sense!!!

In your dreams mate! Ben Spies and his crew did a seasons worth of development and data acquisition and hands it off to two competent riders the results should be excellent! Cal in particular is showing that he truly belongs there so far. I am sure you will argue that Cal is going faster because he raced there this weekend but the R6 and R1 are vastly different machines. James has it all to prove. First off its spelled demolition. Second why do you hate on Spies so much? Angry that he set so many records en route to the rookie title in his first try this year? Angry that he joined the long list of people who have denied Nori a title/he is American?/he has fans? /all the hot Italian wenches he is nailing? Your boy JT will have nowhere to hide in WSBK! Cal is already faster than him. @ Shnertz The only demolision Ben will see next year is his own @ss being handed to him by at least 2 rookies and 4-5 other GP guys. Since it appears everyone else has a crystal ball on here today from who will win the WC next year to what Bs WOULD have done. I am going to say Spies will achieve the same as JT next year in Gp's and Yamaha will retain the title in both fields!! Wow this nostradamus stuff is easy!!! Right i am off now to get some Lotto numbers!!

Instantly Impressive (and expected) from JT and Cruchlow there with Cal being pretty much as fast as Ben Spies within a few hours and JT being new to everthing and the bike less than a second off and nearly 1 second faster than ben managed in the Test here in January (his second). What does this prove that JT and Cal are as good or if not better than BS? Or that the Yam is a great bike that has 3 great riders on it? Or they are both just lucky??

Spies love ain't it great. All this 5th Alien/Win in first year etc etc. just cause you say it (an I know you believe it) it does not make it true. NO-one knows how spies will do next year. Even if he qualifies on the Front Row and finishes top 5-6 this would only Equal JT and he hardly set GP alight (although he 1st season was better than people give him credit for) But spies will have the 4 not too mention Simoncelli(who already beat spies last time they met (harsh but that's racing)Marco and Ayhoma/Bautista and Edwards to battle with and if he beats 2 of them he will still be 7th. Top 5 will be great but unlikely on a Sat Yam with strong opposion. Alot of BS fans will be crying I feel!!

I was comparing it to 03 due to only 2 men being in the fight for the title from Race1, nothing to do with machinery as then and now everyone else were bit players to their battle. This year was NOT the strongest grid (IMOP) Haga is great but has never won a title,Had Spies had Bayliss to fight this year do you honestly think he would have won?? I dont. Again not taking anything away from him. But He won because He is a very talented Racer,on a great bike in a great Team. Lets now see what he can achieve in GP's but he has given himself a good moral start!!

@ Rawdawg What spies has done is Impressive (the same as what Crutchlow has done in SS new bike/Tracks and unlike Ben after 5 races in a new team also) but to say that the bike has nothing to do with it is madness. That R1 IS without a doubt a great bike with a great rider onboard. Ben spies and haga dominated this year (as Hodgson and Xuas in 03 where hodgson scored 13 wins and more points than spies this year with 4 less races) and it was a great battle with the 2 best riders on the 2 best bikes!!!

@ Septic Once again you are totally full to the brim with the ****e you shovel mate! Polen wasn't a true rookie the year he won 17. He had raced in 4 select events the previous three years. Spies had never turned a wheel in a Superbike race prior to this season. Er check the OFFICIAL records HE WS classed as a rookie and had only been to maybe 2-3 of the tracks prior to racing, no differant to spies testing Pre-seaon and During at Portimo/Valcencia/Monza etc!! and by your logic Spies won't be a rookie in GP's next year so simoncelli has already won before it starts??? Stop being a flag waving muppet!!!

@ Johnny His debut season was astonishing at a level comparable only to Hamilton's first F1 season Not really Spies Won the Wc in his rookie Hamilton did not, AND Doug polen is THE most succesfull rookie in Sbk's with 10 poles and 17 (yes 17) wins in his rookie season and WC (again in 92) also a texan.The Yam IS a great bike Sykes was just poor (and unlucky) in comparison, the R1 has 3 WC this year as a New bike with a 1,2 in BSB so i think the Yam was most definately a WC winning Bike. Fair play to Ben though well deserved and feel sorry for Haga abit unlucky and the pressure got to him in race 1 would have loved to see him WC. What great season we had, heres to a better 10!!
