Would this have anything to do with the fact that the rediculous medal system you keep proposing would mean Jenson could already be champion if he wins the next 2 races??

The plot, like the gravy, thickens... There's a lot of evasion in there, and we all know what that suggests.

So why did the FIA not approve JA having a test (if only for safety grounds as he had only carried out a straight line run!) if ALL the FOTA teams agreed? Obviously the FIA would approve Schuey, so why should the teams say "Go ahead, have one rule for a rookie who NEEDS to test, and one for a multiple title winner"...

It's very easy for Ferrari to turn around now and say "We would've let Jaime test the STR". The point is that there is an in-season testing BAN. As many other posters on here have said, Ferrari and Schumacher are not daft, and would obviously use any "refresher training" for Micheal to add a couple of development bits to the car. As would any other team given the dispensation. After his F2007 test, he clearly still has what it takes. Now he's working on fitness. Personally I can't wait to see just how fast he is compared to Kimi. I hope the Williams are faster though after these childish comments from Ferrari. "It's not fair!"

If his first season with Renault was so bad, why did he not try to move to another team? Maybe he could've swapped with Bourdais and they'd both have one more shot :P

"Yes please come and join Formula Cosworth" What a fiasco...

Has anyone noticed how quiet Bernie is being in all this? As it's his 'baby' FOM that owns the rights to the F1 name, and he's sitting on the fence, if he sides with FOTA then could their 'breakaway series' not be called F1 anyway?? Then in would be Max (in a world of) Payne :P

Good to see the Kimster up there, but last weekend the Brawn's didn't top the times until qualifying... Hope it's as close as this all weekend though, should be another good race to watch. Just have to ignore all the FIA bull afterwards...

Has everyone forgotten Barrichello's fantastic drive last year in the wet at Silverstone, with Brawn's tactical genius at play? Totally agree with you RB, it was a tradition for me to get up in the early hours for the first couple of races. The true fans, as you say, would be up and at 'em anyway. You could clearly see in some of the in-car shots from Melbourne that the sunlight through the trees was a horrible distraction when trying to find braking points.

Here's a piece from the stewrads decision itself: "During the hearing, held approximately one hour after the end of the race, the Stewards and the Race Director questioned Lewis Hamilton and his Team Manager David Ryan specifically about whether there had been an instruction given to Hamilton to allow Trulli to overtake. Both the driver and the Team Manager stated that no such instruction had been given. The Race Director specifically asked Hamilton whether he had consciously allowed Trulli to overtake. Hamilton insisted that he had not done so." Still think there was no conscious effort to let Jarno pass by Lewis?
