For once Raw I completely agree with you. Hugely over hyped by the press, mainly due to the Rossi Gibbers thing.

What is Rossi going to say? 'mmm. Thinking back it was a little harsh of me to pass him, I think I'd let Jorge win.' Top class riders should be able to handle a bit of close quarters racing.

Shocking stats, what does that tell you? 1) You need a factory bike. 2) Your name has to be Rossi, Lorenzo, Pedrosa or Stoner to have a chance. Not good news for the rest of the field, doesn't matter if it's 12 or 120 other bikes on the grid, if your name's not down you're not coming in... 1st.

Hold on, this is getting a bit daft. Lets get things into prespective here... On Friday the Fiat Yamaha guy with a trolly goes to the Bridgestone tent with his little list of tyres to get for the weekend. Softs on one side hard on the other. Amongst those softs is one that someone forgot to paint a stripe on... So what!! If had been Canepa's tyre without a stripe everyone would have said 'Oh look, Canepa's front tyre hasn't got a stripe, I wonder who forgot to paint that on?' and that would be that. Conspiricy my ****!

I can't see Spies leaving WSBK just yet, I think he'll stay on for another year to try & get the championship win in 2010.

It does seem that the 800's suit the 250 style of max corner speed over the superbike chuck it in & fire it out style. Hayden can definatly ride a bike just not in the way that you need to ride an 800. Toseland's in a simalar position but I can hear Tech3 Moto2 team calling for him as we speak. Mr Simonceli to Tech3 Yamaha? It's a possibility with the new rules, it's as close as you can get to a factory team.

Well done Bradders, consistancy leads to world championships... Just ask Hayden. I also like the very professional approach to Simon's misfortune. On the outside, 'oh I'm really gutted for him.' While falling around laughing & pointing on the inside!! :) HAHAHA He thought it was the last lap!!! :) HAHAHA he thought he'd got 3rd!!! :) HAHAHA I'm so gutted that I'm only a point and a half behind him after a really bad weekend!! :) :) :) HAHAHA Bring the 2009 championship home for us Mr Smith. Got everything crossed for ya.

I'm really gutted for Leon. Even if he passed Jonny I still don't think he would have got 3rd, unless they put the start line 10 yards after the last corner he would have been beaten anyway.

There's nothing stopping Aprilla, KTM etc building a chassis for the class & still branding it as their own. I can't imagine them all being called Honda's, after all they're only supplying the engine. What it will do is open the door for the John Britton's of this world & allow small companies like Harris to get back into racing. With so much intrest already it looks like a good move.

Good ride from RDP. How long do you think it will be before Ohlins are on an HRC bike? I think the next announcement will be Gresini are using Ohlins before HRC tell Showa that they wont be using their suspension. Similar to what happened with the Pedrosa / Bridgestone swap.

I heard that the engineers at Yamaha wanted JB to use a different setting on Sat to the one he & Vale wanted. He might have been sandbagging to prove a point. They had a bit of an arguement, went back to JB's setting & next thing he wins the race. JB & Vale 1 - Yamaha 0

Ride of the day has to be Marco. To get a bike with (apparantly) no factory support & very little testing in the top 10 would be good, but finishing where he did is amazin'! Rossi rode a world champion's ride & Jorge just pushed a little too hard when he realised that he might be able to get a podium. Good race by Moto GP standards... Still not a superbike race tho.
