For once Raw I completely agree with you. Hugely over hyped by the press, mainly due to the Rossi Gibbers thing.
What is Rossi going to say? 'mmm. Thinking back it was a little harsh of me to pass him, I think I'd let Jorge win.' Top class riders should be able to handle a bit of close quarters racing.

Honda awarded Moto2 engine contract.
14 agree.
2 disagree.
I know that in the spirit of things it's a really bad idea to, a) change from 250's & b) let Honda supply the engines. In real life things aren't so rosie. Times are hard & Honda are by far the best company to make an affordable, fast & reliable engine. It's just a shame that business decisions aren't always best for the sport.

Stoner seeks balance, Hayden 'needs to be faster'.
He may well have been on the 3rd best bike but you have to admit, the 2000 season wasnt the best. I seem to remember Biaggi & Rossi crashing a lot at the start of the season & KR clinching the championship by consistently being in the top 6.

Rossi: I’d do a Gibernau to Lorenzo.
4 agree.
Jorge would definatly pull the same move on Rossi if he saw the opportunity. He's not moaned about any of the passes pulled on him, (Toseland Qatar 08) he's a real racer and this is RACING.

Spies not giving up on title hopes
1 disagrees.
All it takes is 1 bad weekend for Ducati, a bit of trouble setting the bike up & Haslam, Smrz & co will be all over Haga. I think that's what they mean about taking points off him. Who knows what's going to happen?

Got to be Haga's season now, he's been waiting a long time for it.

Spies grabs dramatic last lap win from Haga
7 agree.
2 disagree.
Some Moto GP riders would say that was a dangerous race. I say we want more races like that! Ben & Leon rubbing elbows for 3 corners was amazin! Roll on race 2!!!

Stoner: Good straight away.
3 disagree.
Rossi knows that Casey can out pace him over a single lap which is why he has to try to pass him at any opportuniy so Casey has to change his lines & mess up his rhythm. That's exactly what happened at Laguna, Rossi couldnt afford to let him get away so had to do his best to stay in front. Stoner had the pace to pull away from Rossi but couldn't quite get past, you could see the frustration in his riding. Should be a good race this weekend, Rossi was fastest in T1 so should be able to lead the lap, we'll just have to wait & see which corner Stoner passes him on.

Kallio in the mix on MotoGP debut.
1 agrees.
Kallio's style definatly seems to suit the Ducati. I hope he does really well. If he beats Hayden there might even be a factory ride for him next season.

Gibernau 'struggling to last a lap'.
Darkwaknight - I'm not saying that youth means you are a better rider, I just think that the ride should have gone to someone who has more than 12 months left in them & wanted to do more than ride round for kicks, after all we're talking about the premier class of bike racing. Club racing is there for people who want to ride round just for the laugh.
