I've started watching MotoGP recently and have been enjoying it. I also try to remember to catch ALMS when it's on. F1 is so out of touch with its fans that it is really quite sad. I'm not really surprised anymore when something like cutting the Canadian GP off the calendar happens. The man that runs this "sport" is a 77-year old billionaire who is obsessed with money. How much more out of touch could anyone be?

I posted this in another thread, but I'll repost it here: $100 says something happens like last year (BMW chilled fuel thing), but worse. And the FIA freaks out, drops some ridiculous penalty on someone, and the driver's championship ends even more controversially than last year.

Luckily, I don't care because I don't like Hamilton or Massa. But I will be highly amused if McLaren/Hamilton screw this whole thing up again.

Indycar is lame. If he's coming to the states he should try and find a drive in the American Le Mans Series. That series is an example of racing done right. F1 could learn a lot from how they operate.

Stop trying to downplay these two wins. Renault is the only team other than McLaren/Ferrari to win more than one race this year. That's no accident. Ok, so the big boys screwed up (again). But Renault and Alonso still stepped up to the plate and earned the wins. Same goes for Kubica and Vettel. People complain about F1, but when a team other than Mclaren/Ferrari wins a race everybody loves to try and write it off as a fluke. You should be happy these other teams are winning races and making the championship interesting. Last year McLaren and Ferrari won ALL the races.
