I believe it was reported somewhere that Kawi/Suzuki weren't using Stoner/Rossi tyre as they didn't favor it as much. So this means that their pace was even slower on Casey tyre. If you recall, Rossi's bike was specifically modified around the tyre (to mimmick Ducati) to move more weight towards the rear in order to make the tyre work right. Before Yamaha figured it out, in the fist race of 08 in Qatar, Rossi had (I'm sure) the same tyre as Casey and couldn't hang at the front.

The best part about no Q tyre is that, given the same weather conditions, the qualifying lap times will be a true indication of the race pace on Sunday.

Perhaps Dorna is interested in boosting its business on www.motogp.com. Get rid of Eurosport and all it's goodness, replace with limited BBC offerings and hence direct the masses to watch qualifying and free practices on the web. Whether it was intentional or not, people will tend to follow this path. I know I will.
