MotoGP » Moto2: Brough Superior to wild-card at Silverstone

Yossarian:
Lancsman: Its not a Brough superior really is it? Its a modern bike with a jap engine and an old name. It means nothing, just like Norton at the TT with its aprilla engine. It will be all over priced b***ocks.
the original bikes used jap engines
Exactly, they were always bespoke builders, they also used Matchless engines and even a modified Austin 7 engine. No different to any custom bike builder then or today. And their cars were the same too, they used Lincoln and Hudson engines and they even used Hudson chassis making just the body themselves. Lancsman how can you say it's not a Brough Superior? Is it because it doesn't look like the 1920s bike? I don't think a 1920s bike would too well in Moto2 even if it did pass the technical regulations for performance and safety.

Joeski: Sorry all... I am still little bothered by Camier's dismissal from the team at a time when he was unable to find a new ride....which left him on the side lines. To me, Camier is a quality rider.
As Camier said the other week he's back to "ambulance chasing" for a ride. There will be someone hurting themselves (I sincerely hope not seriously) but a collar bone here, wrist or finger there and he will be on the top of the list of replacement riders and if it happens to be a good ride in a major championship it can give him the opportunity to show his talent. Remember it was a shoulder injury to Carl Fogarty that thrust a certain replacement rider called Troy Bayliss onto the world scene when he took over Carl's Ducati.

TheBilbo46: Smith always does a one off lap on Friday practice, his next best time was over 0.9 slower! Can't wait for the press release saying how he's changed the setup, and he's now picking off from where he left off in Qatar, and BT praising what a genius he is..!
You're right. Despite de british people who obviously disagree on the comment. He's a mediocre rider at best. And yes, BT Sports is always praising him. Give us some real results Mr. Smith and perhaps after that you will exceed your mediocre etiquette.
You mean BT Sport, as in British Telecommunications. A British company supporting a British rider? Of course they do, in much the same way the Spanish TV supports Spanish riders and Italian TV supports Italian riders. If you are not happy watch it on another channel.
