F1 » Ecclestone hints Australia could be axed

Yep, axe Australia and replace it with another Middle East round since they have lots of money to give Bernie, and they are all stable round that way, no sign of armed revolutions...................oh, hang on. I can't see an armed rebellion in Melbourne, although the greenies are still protesting that the Albert Park course kills 3 sparrows every year. But 17 unwashed locals in sandals and armed with free trade raffia are hardly going to bring down a government. So Bernie do you want good racing, respect and a profitable & stable racing series or do you want more money, no spectators and circuit contracts with (other) oppressive dictators?

F1 » 'Maybe Bernie is losing his mind a little bit...'

Anyone suggesting artificially wetting a track to spice up races being a good thing because wet/dry races are exciting is missing the big point. Firstly that it needs spicing up in the first place, so try and fix the problem don't introduce something artificial to paper over the cracks. And secondly most importantly of all, who is the person who decides when to wet the track and for how long. If you have a human being the deciding factor you will not be able to escape from calls of favouritism. You know the moment a McLaren or Red Bull is in the lead the water will fall but the one time a Ferrari is in front and it doesn't happen all hell will break loose. With calls of favouritism and fix. Just let the clouds decide if it's going to rain.
