WTCC » Muller thrilled with historic title

The RML Chevrolet has been the car to have for the last 4 years so the only people he was ever racing against to win it was his team mates. Menu and particularly Huff who won last year gave him a good run but this year it's probably been the easiest. Twice as many wins as anyone else, twice as many podiums than his nearest rival, 149 points in front with 2 rounds left.

F1 » Ricciardo laments penalty

He drove off the track to maintain his position and he's puzzled as to why he got a penalty? OK Daniel let Suzuka remove all the tarmac run off and put a barrier back there and then try it again, if you escape the crash without breaking your car or your legs and are able to carry on then you can have the place back. Or ask Allan McNish what happens when you crash at 130R.

WSBK » Laguna Seca - Qualifying times (2)

Don't forget 2013 started with Checa on pole at Philip Island, until his big shoulder busting collision with Melandri. For him he's been slowed by the shoulder all year and other offs. Badovini has also been crashing. Canepa has a lot of experience racing the SSTK 1000 version so is probably had more comfortable quick race seat time than anyone except Eddie La Marra. He is showing what it can do if fit confident riders were on it.

WSBK » Lowes unsure for '14 as MV Agusta rumours gather pace

2 prime rides with Sito Pons as Rabat is off to Marc VDS, while Espargaro is off to MotoGP. I think Marc VDS will hang onto Kallio now as he's finally remembered how to race and use him as a yard stick for Rabat. As for MV Agusta bikes in WSBK, it's not a good idea to have an eager overly-confident new boy riding a new undeveloped bike. I could see Ravelli's Parkin Go team moving up from WSS with MV and bringing Chaz over to ride for them again but career-wise Lowes should be looking at Moto2.

MotoGP » Smith 'proud' of lap time, disappointed with result

Stop looking at Marquez's time as a comparison, Brad was only 3/10ths off Pedrosa and Rossi. For a rookie on certainly not a factory Yamaha that is a good result. Pedrosa being 1second slower than his rookie team mate is much more of an issue of should he be on the bike. Factory Honda since 2006, never won a championship, Stoner joins and wins it, now Marquez looks like doing the same.
