F1 » Abu Dhabi Pirelli F1 tyre test - Fastest times

Your times and positions made no sense, you have either got them mixed up or put in the wrong order. Based on the times for the drivers you gave the order should be 1. Pascal Wehrlein 2. Daniil Kvyat 3. Kimi Raikkonen 4. Daniel Ricciardo 5. Valtteri Bottas 6. Stoffel Vandoorne 7. Jolyon Palmer 8. Max Verstappen 9. Sebastian Vettel 10. Carlos Sainz Jr 11. Adderly Fong 12. Marcus Ericsson 13. N Hulkenberg 14. Alfonso Celis Jr 15. Rio Haryanto 16. Jordan King

MotoGP » Jerez Testing Times – Friday

alanw5293:
Chadsays: So the top 2 Supers would have been ranked 3rd and 4th fastest of the prototypes... Maybe Kawasaki should put some experimental wings on their Superbike, call it a prototype and race it against the GPs! Pretty darn impressive if you ask me.
How can anybody disagree, the stats speak for themselves..
Tyres can make a big difference though.

F1 » F1 risks ‘arms race’ if Ferrari-Haas co-op stands - Mercedes

With the exception of Ferrari because they have always been in F1 and traditionally are a race team before the time of sponsors. Manufacturers come and go, come back and go again. They are not real racing teams, how do you support a manufacturer team that might quit next year if they don't feel like racing any more (Honda, Toyota, Renault, BMW). It's just a business to them, yes all teams are a business they need to make money, but money to race. Teams like Williams, McLaren and even Ferrari are in the business of racing, Mercedes are just in the business of marketing. Marketing is boring, Mercedes domination is boring. Like mentioned above, we need competition, a more level playing field, but more open rules. Then we will see how much the Mercedes Marketing Division wants to race.

SoSlo: you act like mercedes have never been involved in motorsport before. mercedes was racing cars long before there was even such thing as a 'grand prix'
That has nothing to do with what I typed. If you READ what I typed it is suggesting factory F1 teams historically like to pull out of F1 when THEY want if it doesn't go their way.

F1 » Maldonado: F1 doesn't allow contact now

I wish people, most of all professional racers would stop quoting Days of Thunder as if its some kind of rule. In NASCAR they have bump drafting where one car taps and pushes the car in front, both cars aerodynamically go quicker. That is it. It does not mean hitting someone to knock them out of the way so you can pass BTCC style. And as for F1 if Pastor thinks a silly film quote is good for F1 and his car or the other drivers car won't get damaged if he crashes into it he's got more screws lose than I thought. That's what he's doing, he's crashing only there's another car in the way stopping him from going off.
