MotoGP » Smith, Espargaro, Nakasuga fastest at final Suzuka test

Doobie: I wouldn't be one bit surprised if Katsuyuki set the quickest time! Should be an interesting race.
Poorly translated by google from response.jp suggests Espargaro set the quickest time. "strongest contender is Japan's fastest Nakasuka's YAMAHA FACTORY RACING TEAM of Espargaro and Smith of active MotoGP rider. Nakasuka is doing the test schedule as the main the making machine, Espargaro and Smith continued to energetically running in order to get familiar with the course and the machine. And Espargaro is 2 minutes 07 seconds 995 was recorded in 14 days and overall top time in both days. Smith has also been steadily increasing the time, appeal that the ready."

MotoGP » Poncharal: Smith has raised some eyebrows…

JedPB67:
FLtrooper: If Tech 3 wants a mid pack rider that will never score a win or championship then perhaps they should keep Smith. Time to give the ride to Jacobsen, Zarco, Tito, etc..
It's hardly like satellite teams are known for winning these days, in fact in 8 weeks it'll have been 9 years since a satellite rider won a race in MotoGP. With the current crop of aliens, the results Smith's obtaining are the pinnacle of what can be asked for from a satellite team. Furthermore 5th-7th isn't mid pack, it's the top third of the field. Jacobsen would be a ridiculous choice for this Tech3 ride next year, he's talented but he'd sink going stright to GP from Supersport.
Ignore FLtrooper he's on a mission to rubbish Brad on every thread and is just trolling for reactions.

MotoGP » Lowes: There are positives to take

There could be 3 slots next year, if Ioda don't return, AB Cardion (to WSBK is the rumour) and LCR lose 1 bike. So opportunities for 3 new teams or team expansions. Do Suzuki have to provide customer bikes from the 2nd year? Would Aprilia want another proper MotoGP factory bike on the grid for data? And then if Forward Yamaha don't return for 2016 there are potentially 2 customer open Yamahas available. If they do, Baz + one other. So there could be 4-5 slots open for bikes and riders. I think Rins will do one more year in Moto2 and Rabat, it's just been too long unless MVDS grab the AB Cardion open Honda. Lowes if he hasn't already signed for Aprilia must do it soon before Bradl impresses.
