MotoGP » Yamaha to debut seamless shift gearbox 'soon'

Right... the seamless gearbox does nothing... it's only been Lorenzo & Rossi's #1 request to the factory.... Riding is about feel... and if you don't have the distraction of the gear shift disruption it will enhance feel... plus, probably most important is that you can have a similar drive as a normal gearbox with less fuel consumption. A fact that will be even more important next year with 20 liters of fuel.

MotoGP » Dovizioso explains 'new' Ducati spec

lol shamarone... I want to know if the thought of making a V4 customer Ducati engine with the exact same mounting points/weight distru as the panigale so that way they can just throw prototype carbon/alum airboxes into it til it makes those bridgestones work.... that way you can get other chassis makers making the same chassis then that would fit on a panigale... ?

MotoGP » Dovizioso on Ducati: The bad point is now

@jaybond Things in MotoGP are a little different than in the 990cc era... If you try to put the power and load of a current 2013 MotoGP bike through a steel trellis chassis it will be pumping and bucking all around unable to contain itself... You could calm things down by adding more and more steel but then you'll be too heavy... Next year when they take away another liter of fuel Ducati is going to start to be even more awful. Unless Audi makes their own motorcycle there is no way Ducati has the resources to compete with Honda and Yamaha when the rules keep mutating like this. MotoGP is my favorite sport.. but if i was the CEO of Ducati, it would be off to WSBK for me.
