MOTOGP » Dovizioso, Hayden give 'lab' Ducati lukewarm verdict

re: " I dunno if its true but for what i read Suzuki had use one V4 65 degrees and Honda is V4 75 degrees.. Only Honda win constantly!!" yes bal all that is true. but even honda has changed to a 90. the burden is now on audi to stay the course and keep cranking out those frames. they can at least be thankful that frames are cheap compared to engines. imagine chasing your tail with the very thing that propels the bike...? :-o

MOTOGP » 2014 Honda could make MotoGP debut this season

re: "next generation of the R1 will be with this new Triple engine they are still on tests" yamaha doesn't fix things that aren't broken. while yes, there will be a larger displacement of the new CP3 engine, it is not a replacement for the proven, multi-championship winning CP4. the crossplane 4 is the "club" the tuning fork relies on to whack honda over the head. it has a much greater purpose.

MOTOGP » Suzuki announces MotoGP return - in 2015

re: "All thru the MotoGP years. They lacked one thing.. A top rider. Sure, Hopkins was good, vermuelen, capirossi. But to win they needed a Stoner, pedrosa, Lorenzo or Rossi." you seem to be new. no worries. if I may, i'd like to introduce you to something known as NATCORK (aka "s1's law"). this acronym spells out... "No Amount of Talent Can Overcome Recalcitrant Kit." again, i want to stress this is LAW. so no, rider talent was NOT what they lacked. the one thing they lacked was kit that could win without costing someone an index finger or their life. stakes is high.

MOTOGP » Suzuki announces MotoGP return - in 2015

re: "Does Cal really want to go to Ducati at this stage in his career?" don't think he has much choice. better ducati than Suzuki. as great as this bike looks, this is but a snapshot in time. good or bad, the bigger history simply does not show the necessary commitments to either MGP or WSB. no reasonable person can make a career decision on that, even if they wanted to. I see 1 bike. the dictate (comma) is 2 bikes, 10 engines, and 2 riders. that is ORDERS OF MAGNITUDE beyond what we're looking at.

MOTOGP » Suzuki announces MotoGP return - in 2015

cont: crossplane's a brilliant design don't get me wrong, but making them go fast ain't cheap, or for the faint of heart. that's a "midnight oil" level commitment if ever there was. if we recall the last few iterations of kawi's grandprix zed was in fact a "crossplane", and they sure as hell weren't tumbling any lap records. see there's SOOO many other things to consider at the this level, than just showing up for the papparazzi with your best. what's that you say...? you're ready to give 100%...? good, that'll get you half way there.

MOTOGP » Suzuki announces MotoGP return - in 2015

re: "@ sham I need a prediction. Let's hear it. How will Suzuki fare in 2015???" I reckon if they begin petitioning now for extra engines...? and a banning of Honda's transmission...? they'll be top 10. outside of that, their crossplane doesn't have a snowball's chance of going the distance of furusawa's original. has masao been lured out of retirement and somebody not tell me...? let pneumatic valves get banned and it's a wrap. additionally, the 2nd order imbalance on those things are epic and will crack cases like an egg. theres a reason yam boffins spend considerable hours (and yen) machining each one of THEIRS from billet. even with a balancer, if they're showing up with castings, they're bringing a knife to a gunfight. the engine at that point's really no better than an R1 and will need considerable spares to get through a season (nevermind be competitive). see entry for spies winning year in '09. see entry for aprilia's V4.
