WSBK » Aprilia boss against introducing team orders

re: "We thought about giving team orders a lot, but we still believe it's not worth to be done now. I think these kinds of decisions are a little bit against the sport and we don't like them very much." translation, we held the holiday round table just as s1 suggested, we were going to issue orders, but then they announced a round drop, and that's when we realized we're collectively screwed. so barring some miracle off in the distance that sees Grinner out of it...? were just going to let 'em continue taking paint off one another.

MotoGP » Nicky Hayden: Good luck to Leon

for once, NOT throwing a leg over a fire breathing monster might actually be a good thing. indy just isn't the place you want to be learning both the track AND the bike in the same weekend. “This is a wonderful opportunity for me" this is a DANGEROUS opportunity for you, so don't go getting crazy with the cheese wiz. you'll be on your a$$ before you hear metal scraping ground. no worries, when you first brake for T1, you'll see more clearly.

F1 » Hamilton calls for reliability improvements

re: "Lewis Hamilton has called on Mercedes to improve its reliability heading in to the second half of the season" tall order considering they're not having repeat problems. each incident's a "one-off". as my bud always says, generally you don't know what the problem is...? till you know what the problem is...? and usually this doesn't occur till like lap 29 of 57. you're on a 2-stop strategy, you've gapped the field by 12 seconds, then suddenly your driver paddles for an upshift only to finds he's got a "box of neutrals"...
