MotoGP » Silverstone responds to British MotoGP loss

re: "the event is not sustainable at the fee level Dorna was proposing”... “Any future deal had to make economic sense and sadly we reached an impasse. The Circuit of Wales obviously believes it can make the finances work.” translation: COW is in over their heads as Ez-Dorn truly doesn't give a rat's whether their event is successful or not. same as Bernie with F1, so long as they've got their money, they could care less if they come to your venue 1 year...? or 5 years....? the business model is structured such that gains are privatized while losses get SOCIALIZED. Ez-Dorn dangled the carrot of MotoGP, and in this moment of temporary blindness, Wales totally missed that they've just been set-up to assume all the RISK. after they're contract is up, 1 of 2 things will happen. A, the race will return to Silverstone...? or B, the UK will go without a race for an indefinite period (just like Brazil) despite having 4 riders in the top class...? there is no option C.

re: "What you have to ask yourself is have Dorna & Silverstone reached an impasse because either Dorna are not willing to cut their fee" yes. re: "or is Silverstone unwilling to cover it from their operating costs." yes. re: "As Silverstone is already considerably the most expensive circuit to spectate at on the calendar even they could not increase admission fees to cover the cost." yes. re: "Are we to believe that Dorna are'nt subsidizing the fee to their Four world class Spanish circuits (which are all considerably cheaper to watch at)" yes. re: "or are Silverstone even greedier than what I perceive them to be?" no.

MotoGP » MotoGP stars favour Silverstone for 2015 British GP

re: "Donington is ready?” asked Rossi. “For me. Difficult. I like Donington but also Silverstone... I'll say Silverstone.” re: “I got my first podium at Donington so it would (be) nice to come back there, but it doesn't matter,” said world champion Marc Marquez, eventually deciding: “Silverstone.” re: “Silverstone because at Donington I crashed leading the race!” said Jorge Lorenzo." see... Ross, Marc, and Jay get it.

re: "its too big for bikes, when you walk around by Stowe it is deserted. "better to have and not need, than need and not have." if you've never heard this phrase...? right then, today's your lucky day, you just did. re: "No, the best track for bikes is the mighty Brands Hatch, great atmosphere and facilities." if anybody else mentions Brands and MotoGP in the same sentence, by the powers granted me by the late Marco Simoncelli, i've been instructed to round you all up and take you out by the woodshed for COLLECTIVE FLOGGING. hey, he made me promise.
