MotoGP » Suzuki will consider expanding MotoGP effort

Q: Genius or idiotic? A1: Suzuki context...? Genius. A2: Aprilia context...? Idiotic. Aprilia can be given special dispensation for a few years if they want it. Noale aren't mugs, they EARN their keep. Suzuki otoh has used up all their favours. truth be told, "Italian HRC" wouldn't even want or ask for dispensation. nothing would make them happier than to "black" Honda's eye and steal all their satellite customers...! LOL they want that income. :) granted, they can't beat Honda in the engine department (who can), but Aprilia can beat them in the chassis department. sort a half decent engine and watch teams depart Honda in DROVES... if only just to free themselves from the MATRIX (of control).

WSBK » Giugliano sets a fierce Ducati pace in Spain

re: "theyre circuits with big long straights where torque doesnt give the same advantage as a screaming top end (a la ZX10 etc)" YAHTZEE...!!! re: "this test where the Ducati's are a second faster than the Kaws was Aragon." keep us posted on the Sepang, Russia, and Qatar tests. re: "massive torque advantage into play" that torque advantage is going to have them "playing in the sand traps". Googs (over-rider supreme) has "intimate knowledge" of the size/shape of the grains. ask 'em, he'll tell ya everything you wanna know. see torque is only an advantage if (and that's one big IF) your chassis is sublime and not prone to tying itself into knots, and they don't have one. one what, torque...? no, a CHASSIS. don't let the fact that you're SEEING the 1199 racing...? fool you into thinking the 1199 was designed with "race intentions" (2 different things). it was just meant to be a really great street bike with restored profit margins... which it is.
